Yesterday TMZ reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did NOT want their baby following its mama into the reality TV biz (they don’t know the gender yet but plan to find out as soon as they’re able). Well, it sounds like E! has other plans. E! president Suzanne Kolb told the Hollywood Reporter:

“Kim and Kanye are an incredibly dynamic couple, and their baby news is just so exciting. Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger. We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottle and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear.”

An insider added E! ”will continue to cover all aspects of Kim’s life as it always has.”

If TMZ’s story is true, then methinks some MAJOR behind-the-scenes wrangling is about to take place over this baby’s exposure. Kanye better have good people to negotiate this; something tells me momager Kris Jenner is in line with E! Well, I don’t think a minor can be on camera without both parents’ permission, so Kanye may just have to be the bad guy since Kim has a contract with E!

In other interesting news, Kim will likely still be legally married to Kris Humphries when the baby is born. The baby is due in June, and the earliest date for a trial would be in June due to Kris’ NBA schedule. If I were Kim, I’d seriously consider saying the marriage was a fraud just to get the divorce already. Paternity is typically assumed to be the legal husband, so it will just be one more legal issue Kim and Kanye have to deal with if she’s still legally married to another man when she gives birth (although I’m sure there’s a way to handle the legal presumption).

One thing is for sure: there will be NO shortage of drama with the Kardashians in 2013!

You may not have heard of Genesis Rodriguez, but as 2013 progresses, you certainly will. GQ introduces her to us in their current issue. Her mother is a Cuban model and her father is a Venezuelan singer known as El Puma. Genesis started off filming Spanish telenovelas but caught the eye of Will Ferrell when he was looking to film a spoof of the genre and needed someone familiar with the genre who was also bilingual. The Will Ferrell spoof was the start Genesis needed. She has two films coming out in 2013.

Genesis stars opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘The Last Stand.’ She’s also Jason Bateman’s love interest in the movie ‘Identity Thief.’ Genesis now lives in Hollywood, but she misses her hometown of Miami. So it’s no wonder she’s a big LeBron James fan. Genesis told GQ:

“I still get chills thinking about LeBron picking us. The superteam, just perfection for us. I go over each game with my uncle every single day they play.” But she laments the fact that she hasn’t met a single current player on the team: “No one since Shaq! I’d give anything just to take a picture with those gigantic guys.”

‘American Idol‘ alum Fantasia has gotten herself into an online kerfluffle. She posted a picture of herself on Instagram with the following caption:

“I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERNMENT THE church House… Everybody Trying!!!!!!! Its a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!! I’m not doing Nothing for you… My Life!!!!”

The post appears to have been taken down from Fantasia’s instagram, but you can see a screen shot of it. Are you KIDDING me? Why would you post something so judgmental as an argument that you should NOT be judged?! Fantasia (and her reps) are now chalking the whole thing up to being taken out of context. The singer followed up with this:

“It has been brought to my attention that something I said was taken out of context. I, Fantasia Monique Barrino, don’t judge anyone because I don’t want to be judged. The gay community is one of my largest supporters. I support the gay community as they support me. Bloggers please stop misrepresenting the facts.”

Fantasia’s rep also released the following statement:

“Comments made by Ms. Barrino through her Intragram account were recently taken far out of context. Ms. Barrino is not now, nor has she ever been an opponent of the LGBT community. She has supported and performed at numerous events that are sponsored by the LGBT community. Whether it’s through a live performance or placement on social media, Ms. Barrino uses every opportunity to reach out and connect with her fans, all of her fans.”

I’m not sure how Fantasia’s Instagram post was taken out of context, but I’m glad she’s now clarifying her stance on important civil rights issues like gay marriage.

Michael Phelps is a single man again as 2013 kicks off. TMZ reports the most decorated Olympian of all time broke things off with girlfriend Megan Rossee. Why?

According to our sources, Phelps felt the relationship wasn’t going anywhere, so he decided to end it so he could pursue other options.

Something tells me Michael has plenty of “options”- LOL. On December 30, Michael posted this cryptic tweet:

Things happen for a reason… #notme

Hmmm… The next day Megan tweeted an interesting picture, which read ”A woman’s loyalty is tested when her man has nothing. A man’s loyalty is tested when he has everything.” Megan added: “Yup” #truth.

Pictures really can speak a thousand words. Rihanna and Chris Brown still seem to be on. Rihanna posted the above picture of herself huddling under a polka-dot comforter on Instagram. She had the following caption with it:

Good morning! Still haven’t slept lol #hello2013

So what makes the picture noteworthy? Because Chris posted a picture on his Instragram of his foot with the single word “Mornings” (which is below). The interesting part: his foot is lying next to a polka-dot comforter. And the comforter seems to be covering someone. I think it’s safe to say, We Get It at this point- LOL.

Everybody noticed Jennie Garth’s physical transformation after her split from husband Peter Facinelli. She started sporting a very svelte figure last summer. Now Jennie is sharing her slim-down tips with Health magazine for the MANY people who have made “weight loss” their New Year’s resolution for 2013. Jennie also opened up about her struggles from 2012. Here are some highlights:

On overcoming heartbreak… “When I’m in excruciating pain, like with what I’ve been through with my breakup and that grief and loss that’s just immobilizing, it helps to remember that it only lasts for 13 to 15 minutes, max. And then it’s over. Your mind is ready to go to something else. You might come back to it, but it helps to just know that that pain is not going to last forever.”

On dating… “I’m learning to date again. Looks aren’t important to me anymore…I like positive energy.”

On steering clear of fad diets… “My biggest regret is putting my body through fad diets: Atkins, cleanses, the hCG diet. I lost like 18 pounds, but it came right back. The worst was fasting with colonics for three or four days. It was the most horrifying experience ever!”

On feeling in control… “Every day, I just renew my healthy choices. I feel really good about myself now, and I don’t want to do anything to change that.”

On the importance of saying “I love you…” “They’re my favorite words, and I don’t say them enough to other people, let alone to myself. When you say them, it makes you want to be gentle and kind. Even if you’re mad, there’s that love.”

On staying positive… “There’s no room for negative self talk. None. Just ban it from your vocabulary.”
