Josh Duhamel may not be hard at work on a movie set (yet), but he’s not just lying about. Josh had a productive day yesterday. He stopped by FedEx to send off a package. Then the ‘Safe Haven’ star headed to a meeting. I wonder if Josh was hanging out backstage with Fergie as she co-hosted ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ from LA or if he spent the evening at home with their puppy.

Either way, I’m guessing they don’t get to have much of a New Year’s Eve celebration since Fergie landed that gig. Well, I’m not sure celebrating New Year’s Eve is all that much fun anyway, especially once you’re over, say, 25 or so- LOL. I look at those people freezing on Times Square, and it just makes me shudder.  I’m much happier watching the ball drop from my couch, where I’m warm and comfortable!

‘Zero Dark Thirty‘ star Jessica Chastain was looking chic in her purple trench! That purple looks great with her gorgeous hair. The color of the trench pops without being jarringly bright. And seriously, I NEED that bag and those heels. Looks like ‘The Heiress‘ star got some great holiday gifts.

Jessica made her way to the Walter Kerr Theatre for another performance of ‘The Heiress.’ I can’t wait to see Jessica’s red carpet looks for the awards shows. She’ll be at the SAG ceremony as well as the Golden Globes. I’m sure she’ll get an Oscar nom, too. Jessica’s probably already working with designers. She’ll be a knockout!

This actress has had ENOUGH and probably won’t mind when her current project ends. Here’s the goss:

What B-/C+ list actress with A++ name list recognition is counting down the days until she ends her latest project. What started out as an innocent lunch with a co-star has turned into a full court press by him almost 24 hours a day. She is wary of any bad publicity coming her way right now and thinks he will run screaming to the press if she treats him poorly or blows him off like she wants to. So, she sucks it up and puts up with his constant badgering. Never has someone been more grateful for no cell service. The constant calls and texts have stopped, but now he pops in at her hotel all the time to make sure everything is ok.

Ashlee Simpson is staying on the go these days! She had plenty of fun in the sun in Hawaii with her family. Ashlee and Bronx practically lived at the beach. Can you blame them? Then we saw Ashlee, Bronx, and her mother, Tina, arriving at LAX yesterday.

Now here’s Ashlee and Tina arriving in New York City. Bronx is probably hanging out with dad Pete Wentz. Looks like Ashlee and Tina are going to kick off 2013 with some mother-daughter time in the Big Apple. Sounds like fun! Do you get the chance to travel much with your mother? When both of you can make time to get away, it’s pretty enjoyable.

Russell Brand recently celebrated 10 years of sobriety. Ten years! That is SUCH an amazing accomplishment. Addiction is a hard illness to beat, but Russell is doing an incredible job. Here’s Russell stocking up on vitamins with a gal pal. He’s getting 2013 off to a good start.

We see him going to yoga and AA meetings on a regular basis. This guy is dedicated to not just sobriety but maintaining good health, too. Russell is an inspiration. Does he motivate you to try to do all you can to maintain your own New Year’s resolutions?
