‘Celebrity Big Brother‘ UK must REALLY be on the hunt for contestants! They have done what we all thought would never be done. They have resurrected SPEIDI! Yes, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are back. They’re competing in the new season of ‘Big Brother’ in the UK as a unit. They truly are Speidi. OMG! Spencer shared their strategy for winning the game:

“It’s going to be hard because I really don’t like other people. I’m ready to get in there. I’m ready to do battle. It’s on. We definitely want to win. My game plan is to make everyone just want to quit and leave.

“At one time, I definitely felt like we were the most famous people in the world. I love myself, what can I say?”

Clearly, humility is one thing Spencer did NOT learn during his time out of the limelight. What did the ‘Big Brother’ people DO?!

Usher rang in 2013 in a big way. It was the first time he performed in Cancun! Usher was the headliner performer at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort on December 29 as part of their pre-NYE festivities. Cancun seems like the type of place performers would WANT to go. I’m surprised it’s his first time performing there.

Usher kicked off the night with his mega hit, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.” The two-hour set list included hits from his vast catalogue including throwback hits such as Nice & Slow, Let it Burn, as well as hits from his latest album Looking 4 Myself, including the hit, “Scream.”

After that, VIP guests got to visit the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort’s new club, Noir. The latest addition from the resort’s multi-million dollar enhancement project, Noir offers a striking mix of cutting-edge design and glamorous nightlife. It harks to the designer’s new romantic design movement, infusing decadent and whimsical flavors. They were inspired by the film ‘Tron.’ Can you imagine how sleek, swanky and colorful Noir probably is?

Now I know where I need to go for my own vacation in a couple of months! Here are pictures from Usher’s performance as well as his meet-and-greet with fans.

After seven years of dating, ‘Star Wars‘ creator George Lucas is ready to make things official with Mellody Hobson. A rep for Lucasfilm confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that George and Mellody are engaged to be married. George is making a lot of changes: he only recently sold Lucasfilm (including the ‘Star Wars’ rights) to Disney. Then he turned around and donated a good amount of the $4 billion (yes, with a “b”) to an education foundation. George said then:

“As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy.”

It looks like George will also have the time to devote to marriage. Congratulations to George and Mellody!

Miley Cyrus took to twitter in mid-December with some very sad news: her puppy, Lila, had died. Now she’s got a new four-legged baby: meet Bean! Bean is a chihuahua mix. Miley posted this adorable picture on twitter to introduce her to us all. Miley tweeted:

Bean is adorable, isn’t she? Apparently, Mila’s other puppy, Lila, was killed when another dog, Ziggy, got aggressive with her. Ziggy was adopted out to another home, and now Miley has Bean. Perhaps Ziggy needed a home where she was the only dog.

I’m glad Miley got a rescue dog. There are SO many unwanted dogs out there: rescue organizations and your local humane society have wonderful dogs and cats that make great pets.

Jay-Z IS part owner of the Brooklyn Nets. The guy has to be able to watch his team play! Beyonce regularly joins him courtside. So where’s Blue Ivy? She’s not at home with a sitter. She’s chilling in a $1 million nursery downstairs in the Barclays Center (where the Brooklyn Nets are based), although still with a sitter, I’m sure. A source told Us Weekly:

“Jay rents a luxurious basement suite for $1 million a year. It has an area for Blue filled with toys.”

However, it’s an “adult playground,” too- Blue Ivy doesn’t have the entire space to herself.

“It’s all glass with a champagne bar and TV screen. Jay lets friends use his digs when he’s not there.”

Now we can see why Jay-Z and Beyonce make so many games: they probably have as much fun in their suite as they do courtside!

In a way, this is kind of sad but happy. ‘Modern Family‘ star Ariel Winter is still in her sister’s care after the courts removed her from her mother’s care over concerns about abuse. Guess what other changes are coming Ariel’s way? She’s been enrolled in a regular school for the first time and will start this month. Up until now, Ariel’s been tutored privately (probably to allow her to work more as a child actor). That sounds so lonely! TMZ reports:

According to our sources, producers at “Modern Family” are “thrilled” and will happily schedule shoots around the girl’s classes.

We’re told Ariel has been “flourishing” in her sister Shanelle Gray‘s home, where the rules are strict.  Sources say Ariel’s happier than ever, and producers have noticed a big, positive change in her mood.

Ariel’s probably incredibly excited at the thought of being around other kids her own age. I can practically hear my teenage self saying, “She’s not missing that much,” however- LOL. High school is a rite of passage we should all experience, right? It’s great the ‘Modern Family’ producers are supportive of this change!
