We’ve certainly seen Paula Abdul experience career ups and downs, haven’t we? The former Lakers cheerleader became a pop singing sensation in the 80s. Then she disappeared, only to have a career resurgence on ‘American Idol‘ nearly 20 years later. Things were going great for Paula until her negotiations backfired, and she was let go from the show.

Paula tried some of her own shows that didn’t work out so well. Her frenemy Simon Cowell seemed to give her yet another chance when he hired her to join him on his new show, ‘X Factor.’ But alas, Paula was not brought back after the second season. She’s still working on projects, however, OK! magazine caught up with the singer-dancer-judge when she was promoting her Avon accessories line, Forever Selected By Paula Abdul. And you’d never know it to look at her, but Paula’s 50! So what has she learned as she embarks on this new decade?

“I wish I could give that magical answer, but the truth is there isn’t one. I don’t know that it’s really a secret. I will say this: loving and accepting myself just the way I am has truly helped me to feel fabulous, and to fall in love with myself over and over again — flaws and all.

“When I really started to accept myself — short dancer, quirky sense of humor, weird laugh — it helped me to start celebrating all my idiosyncrasies. We adore our friends and all their personality traits, but do we treat ourselves with that same level of love and acceptance? I love that by accepting myself, I become more open to change. I learn something new about myself every day. It shifts my mindset into gratitude and positivity, and that’s always where I want to be.”

What a great thing to learn. Go Paula!

Rachel Weisz has always struck me as being one of the nicest, most down-to-earth actresses in Hollywood! Maybe that’s why she wants to play bad girls: to explore her hidden dark side- LOL. Rachel got her chance in the upcoming movie ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful.’ Sweet Rachel played the Wicked Witch of the West.

“She’s someone who revels in being really, really evil. I enjoyed playing her. She’s a bad, bad girl. Remember in old-fashioned black and white movies you had Barbara Stanwyck and others who played bad girls who enjoyed being bad, and had fun being bad? Well, that’s Evanora. I had a lot of fun being bad. It’s all sport for her.”

In real life, Rachel admits her home life with husband Daniel Craig is much more settled.

“I love being married to Daniel. It’s a wonderful feeling of stability and it’s very grounding. I mean, it hasn’t made me more domestic or anything – just being married doesn’t make you able to cook – but I am very happy right now. Extremely happy, in fact.”

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with pretend, right? I’m glad Rachel doesn’t carry the drama from her roles into her real life!

Kimye isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. But are we ready for this? Kanye West wants to record a duet with Kim Kardashian. He’s reportedly reserved a recording studio so they can make music to play to their baby.

“Kanye’s really soppy. He wants Kim to lay down some vocals while she’s carrying his child. He thinks it’ll be cool for his son or daughter to listen to the track when they’re older.”

Oh boy. Well, the song may not be for public consumption. That’s probably for the best. Don’t we see enough of Kim and Kanye? Would you be curious to hear their joint musical effort? It’s kind of cute that Kanye is so excited about the baby.

OMG! Naomi Campbell was left with a torn ligament in her leg after she was violently attacked and robbed in Paris. Naomi was attacked last month when she was trying to hail a cab. A source explained:

“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone. She was attacked in the street as she hailed a cab, and robbed. Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up.”

It’s thought the robbers may have targeted Naomi for the jewelry she was wearing. But to push her so hard she tore a ligament in her leg: goodness! Naomi’s billionaire boyfriend  Vladimir Doronin flew her to Vail, Colorado by private jet for treatment. She’s been getting around using a wheelchair and crutches, and Vladimir has increased her security. Scary! I’m glad Naomi wasn’t further hurt, however.

Remember these days? Tina Fey stars in the movie ‘Admission.’ It’s based on the book ‘Admission‘ by Jean Hanff Korelitz. ‘Admission‘ is about a Princeton’s admissions counselor. That’s what I know. I’m assuming there must be much more.

With Tina starring in the movie, I’m MORE than willing to give it a chance! This lady can make anything- and I do mean anything- funny. I know Tina’s moved on beyond the grind of ‘SNL,’ but I’d start watching that show again regularly if she returned. For teens, parents of teens, and parents who are worried about eventually getting their kid into college, I bet this movie is a Must See. Are you interested?

Gwen Stefani, husband Gavin Rossdale, and their kids, Kingston and Zuma, were seen leaving their London home. After spending the holidays across the pond, they’re reportedly flying back home to LA. Kingston probably has to get back to school. For whatever reason, I’m loving Gwen’s pink frames for her sunglasses. Normally I’m not a huge fan of cutesy stuff like that, but Gwen makes them look cute.

That’s why she’s a fashion designer- LOL. I bet Gwen plans on taking it easy this winter. She should: she and No Doubt are going on tour this summer. She’ll be working plenty then!
