The 2013 Academy Awards nominations were just announced! The two biggest snubs I see are in the Best Director category. Why weren’t Ben Affleck (for ‘Argo’), Kathryn Bigelow (for ‘Zero Dark Thirty’), and Quentin Tarantino (for ‘Django Unchained’) nominated? Otherwise, it went as we expected, I think. As I’ve said: Jennifer Lawrence is going to have a BIG year. She was nominated for Best Actress. Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman secured noms for their work in ‘Les Miserables.’ Bradley Cooper made the list. And Jessica Chastain also got her second Oscar nomination. Congratulations to everyone!
