Alyssa Milano Had To Find Her Sexy Side To Be A ‘Mistress’

Alyssa Milano is returning to TV! She welcomed a son about a year and a half ago. Many new mothers have a tough time feeling sexy. Alyssa had to figure something out for her new role, however. She stars in the new ABC show ‘Mistresses.’ The title is accurate: it’s about women who have affairs with married men. Alyssa’s character is named Savannah Davis. Savannah is a frustrated wife who ends up having an affair with a married co-worker. Then she finds out she’s pregnant and doesn’t know who’s the baby’s daddy. Complications ensue- LOL. Alyssa explained what drew her to this racy role:
“I love playing women who are flawed, and right from the pilot she makes a decision that has serious consequences.”
Yeah, sounds like it! This show is an American revamp of the BBC show ‘Mistresses.’ But it’s not an exact duplicate, in case you watched it on BBC America.
“Tonally, the show is different. There’s a lightness and a fun to what we set out to do that is different.”
However, one thing that is similar: the many racy sex scenes. For Alyssa, those were a challenge. When she shot the pilot, she had just had her baby and was still breastfeeding.
“Every two hours, I had to go into my trailer and pump … I wasn’t feeling so sexy, let me tell you.”
I can understand that. ABC hasn’t scheduled ‘Mistresses’ yet, so we don’t know when it will air. I’m looking forward to checking it out whenever it does premiere!
