Such sad news tonight, reports confirm that Soprano’s actor James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano, has passed away at the age of 51.  The actor was in Italy where reports are saying that he either suffered a heart attack or a stroke. James was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily.

James is survived by his wife Deborah Lin, their 8 month old daughter and a teenage son from a previous marriage.   HBO made the following statement on their official facebook page;

We’re all in shock and feeling immeasurable sadness at the loss of a beloved member of our family. James Gandolfini was a special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility. Our hearts go out to his wife and children during this terrible time. He will be deeply missed by all of us.

RIP James Gandolfini, you will be missed.

OK I have to know – am I the only person who consistently mixes up Isla Fisher with Amy Adams?  In fact, when I first saw these pictures I immediately started thinking of the movie Man of Steel until I realized that this was Isla Fisher and not Amy Adams! I do it every time!

Isla Fisher was at The Apple Store on London’s Regent street for a Q&A to support her new movie ‘Now You See Me’.  Isla’s movie isn’t doing so well at the box office, but Amy’s sure is. Man of Steel is getting crazy numbers – I saw it last weekend and am now properly in love with Henry Cavill!  Maybe Isla won’t mind being mistaken for Amy if people think she’s in the #1 movie at the box office!

Yup, I know. This is the second day in a row that I’ve had Taylor Lautner as our ‘Hot Guy Of The Day’ - but look at these pictures?!  He is definitely looking hot on the set of his new movie ‘Tracers’.

Taylor ditched the bike for whatever scenes he’s shooting here and even in sweats and a t-shirt he is looking pretty good!  Honestly, all these pictures from set just might be enough to make me go and see Tracers!

Leave it to Madonna to make a statement!  The always head turning singer arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana and The Cinema Society screening of the Epix World premiere of ‘Madonna: The MDNA Tour’ in NYC last night looking stylish as usual.

The singer arrived in a top hat and tails, looking every bit the epitome of old Hollywood glamour.  Kelly Osbourne showed up to support Madonna but dressed a little more casually in a striped shirt and leather pants.  Would you buy Madonna’s concert dvd? I went to the MDNA Tour when it was in my city – I’m not so sure I’d rush out to buy the dvd!

Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to meet Mary Jane Watson.  THR is reporting that Shaileen Woodley’s character Mary Jane Watson has been cut from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and won’t be introduced until the the third installment of the franchise.

Director Marc Webb said of the decision to cut Woodley’s character from the movie;

“I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship. Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her.”

In a response to EW, Woodley said;

“Of course I’m bummed.  But I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason …. based on the proposed plot, I completely understand holding off on introducing [Mary Jane] until the next film.”

Looks like Mary Jane will be recast for the third movie too. What do you think of this casting news?
