Britney Jean Spears was born in McComb (Mississippi) and raised in rural Louisiana (Kentwood) to Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears. As a child, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great at gymnastics, winning many competitions and the like. But, most of all, Britney loved to sing. At age 8, Britney tried out for “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” (1989), but was turned down due to her young age. This directed her to an off-Broadway show, “Ruthless”, for a 2-year run as the title character. At age 11, she again tried for “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” (1989) and, this time, made it as a mouseketeer alongside many stars of today (Justin Timberlake and J.C. Chasez of *NSYNC and Ryan Gosling). Her big break, however, came when she was signed as a Jive Recording Artist in the late 90s. With the release of her debut album, “…Baby One More Time” in early 1999, Britney became an international success, selling 13 million copies of “Baby” and 9 million (as of July 2001) of her sophomore album, “Oops!…I Did It Again”, released in May of 2000.read more>>

Britney Spears Is Ready For Her Comeback! Britney Spears is reportedly ready to complete her comeback with her Circus world tour, which will kick off on March 3 in New Orleans.The singer reportedly "wants this to be her best concert ever."
‘Britney is totally fit and her body is back in shape,’ one of her tour choreographers, Rujuta, tells In Touch. ‘She is really confident right now.
‘She’ll be singing, dancing and doing illusions at the same time,’ Ed [Alonzo, illusionist] tells In Touch.And she’s been rehearsing eight hours a day, often in a string bikini,

First Look: Britney Spears’ If You Seek Amy Video Shoot BritneySpears.com just posted a set of pictures showing what the set looks like for the pop singer’s upcoming single, "If You Seek Amy". While Britney has an over-sized shirt on over her outfit, you can still catch a glimpse at her skin tight pants and trendy high heels.
The shoot takes place in a romantically set bedroom and while the lighting isn’t the best, we all can see where this one is going.
On her Twitter account, Britney Spears said this video is going to be "super sexy and really fun". Sounds like Brit Brit to me!
Can’t wait to see the finished product.

Sneak Peek Of Britney Spears’ If You Seek Amy Video These are not the best shots, but you can get an idea of what kind of feel Britney Spears is going for while shooting her upcoming video, If You Seek Amy.

According to People Mag,
"The video begins with Britney coming outside her house to hand the
paparazzi an apple pie that she baked," says a source. "She acts like
she wants to hook up. The video is very provocative."In
part of the video, Spears is accompanied by two adorable
perfectly-groomed children and a straight-laced man wearing khakis and
a sweater over his shoulders. But a source says there are also lots of
dancers "dressed in skimpy outfits in metallic color" and revealing
costumes for Spears included in the shoot.I am VERY curious to see where she goes with this video after all the controversy it’s receiving for radio play.
And while you can’t see it in the shots the television show chose to air, Britney’s sweater and bra are very thin and it must have been very cold… if you know what I mean. I’ve seen more pics from the set and they are really proving a POINT with the way they wanted her sweater to look if you catch my drift. The pie is in the way so you can’t see it here. But this isn’t going to be your "typical" housewife shoot….

Things Are Falling In Place For Britney Spears Well, Circus tour ticket holders, if you trust TMZ, then it looks like the show will indeed go on.Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have reportedly reached an agreement that will allow Britney to take their boys on tour with her (last week, they were reportedly still negotiating).
[T]he way the deal goes is Jayden James and Sean Preston will follow
Britney to three hubs — New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles.
Britney will commute back and forth from each hub during the tour.
She’s also renting houses in New Jersey and New Orleans for Kevin if he
wants to come along for the ride. But K-Fed gets the $5,000 a week,
whether he shows up or not."Five thousand dollars a week.

Britney & K-Fed Still Have Custody Issues To Discuss For Circus Tour I wondered if Britney Spears’ proclamation on her website that she was taking her sons with her on her Circus tour was a bit premature.Now, though, Kevin Federline’s attorneys have announced that Britney and K-Fed "are close" to finalizing a custody arrangement for the tour, according to Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan.
There can be an agreement reached in probably the next day, but there is not an agreement that is signed yet."
It sounds like Kevin is happy to give Britney the access she wants to her sons, though.
‘Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various
central locations in various areas of the country, and he is doing that
because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive
environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful,’
says Kaplan."Are you an anxious Circus tour ticket holder?If you are, it sounds like they’ll work everything out once everyone is done formally agreeing to the arrangement.Hopefully it will be equally beneficial for Britney and her sons!

Britney Spears World Tour Causing Panic Attacks Even though she may seem like she’s doing very well, Britney Spears is still in a fragile state of mind.Sources are reporting that she may not even be able to start her concert tour as planned.
Britney is in danger of not going on tour as she has been
having paralysing panic attacks.Every time there is a crisis, Britney screams and cries and locks herself in
her room. She has been telling her doctor she feels under pressure and ill when she
thinks about touring.She is worried about being on the road without her kids, and fears that her
performance will be branded a flop.Of course I am dying to see her back on stage and at the top of her game…I already have tickets! But, I hope she doesn’t end up being pushed into doing this if she’s not ready. She shouldn’t have to tour at the expense of her own health.

Sam Lutfi Sues Britney Spears & Her Parents For Slander Some people just will not go away.Four days after Britney Spears’ conservators got a restraining order against Britney’s former manager, Sam Lutfi, Sam has "responded" by suing Britney and her parents, alleging slander in court documents.

Britney Spears Won’t Tour Without Her Babies This is all starting to get a little hairy again.
Britney Spears was all set to go on tour and bring Jayden James and Sean Preston on the road with her. She and her father worked out an arrangement with Kevin Federline without the help of the lawyers.
The plan is to have homes in three bases — New Jersey, New Orleans and
Los Angeles. Sean Preston and Jayden James would stay in one of these
three bases and mom would commute back and forth while doing concerts
in each region.And here’s a fun fact. We’ve learned Britney
will pay Kevin in excess of $4,000 a week for each week she’s on tour.
The way the deal goes… Brit would get K-Fed his own pad in each of
the three bases and he wouldn’t even have to show up to get the money!But, when Kevin’s lawyers found out they were upset, thinking that Britney’s father Jamie, had went behind their backs. They are now saying that they completely disagree with this plan, but won’t mention why. And sources say that Britney will 100% cancel the tour if she can’t bring her boys.
TMZ also reports that this puts their current custody deal at risk with the lawyers.
By the way, Britney now has close to 50/50 custody and the trio has
also worked out a long-term agreement, which would extend the
arrangement. That too, could be compromised.UGH. Can’t the lawyers just let it be since this is all in Britney, Kevin and the boys’ best interest? If all parties are OK with the arrangement, that should be enough, right?

Britney Spears Obtains Restraining Order Against Sam Lutfi & Adnan Ghalib I thought all this was over, but apparently not.TMZ reports that Britney Spears’ conservators went to court today and obtained a restraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, and Jon Eardley (the attorney Sam hired to challenge the conservatorship last year).
A source close to the conservatorship tells TMZ Britney asked her
conservators to ‘protect her from Sam and Adnan.‘ We’ve also learned
Britney told her conservators she was afraid of them both and hoped
they could be locked up in jail."Access Hollywood reports that a court date was initially set for Monday, but Britney’s conservators decided to act sooner.
TMZ reports that Britney’s conservators thought Sam and Adnan were trying to undermine the conservatorship in some way.
Britney seems to be doing well at this point, so hopefully everything will remain stable so she can continue her progress.It was announced today that her Circus album has gone Platinum.Congratulations!

Britney Spears Worried About Kevin Federline’s New Girlfriend Just for fun, here’s an old picture of Britney Spears as a baby. Pretty cute, huh?
By now you all know that Kevin Federline is dating someone new. Apparently they’re getting very serious, and obviously that means she’s taking a more active role in Sean Preston and Jayden James’ lives. K-Fed’s girlfriend, Victoria, has been “cuddling the kids and playing mommy with them.”
And from the sounds of it, Britney isn’t dealing well with the situation.
“Things are very serious between Victoria and Kevin,” said the source. “At first Brit was mad, then she broke down in tears. She hates the thought of this woman mothering her sons. She’s afraid Victoria will take her place. And it’s tearing her
up inside.”This makes me nervous. Not that we should expect Kevin never to date again, but what if this pushes her over the edge and back into a downward spiral? She’s been doing so well lately, but I think any mother can imagine how something like this could really be rough.

Kevin Federline And Britney Spears Have A BBQ With Their Sons Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline spent some time together while attending a family BBQ with their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. People.com is reporting that when Kevin arrived at Spears’ new Hollywood Hills home to pick up the boys, Jamie Spears asked him to stay. The rapper remained in the house with the rest of the family for about 5 more hours. How very nice!

Britney Spears Lands $14 Million Autobiography Deal Britney Spears is officially going to make me a hypocrite. I always poke fun at celebs who have their life story told at such an early age because they haven’t even experienced half of their time here on Earth. Well, Britney’s story is one I would want to read. I mean, she’s been through so much… stuff despite the fact that the singer hasn’t hit 30.
The Daily Mirror is reporting tha the Toxic singer is about to sign a $14 million publishing deal!
"There have been numerous unofficial
autobiographies about Britney, but she’s never agreed to pen her own
tome until now."And some of the stories she’s got are absolute dynamite. She’s kept
diaries so there’s nothing she’ll leave out unless she wants to. If the
deal goes ahead she will write three and five books throughout the next
decade – it’s one of the most lucrative book deals in showbiz history."I’m not saying I’m going to recommend the read to my book club, but if I happen to be walking around Barnes and Nobles with the kids, I might leaf through the book while they are enjoying story time.

Rumor has it that Britney will rerecord the song removing the k from seek making the new title and chorus, "If you see Amy". Doesn’t that make it an entirely different song? The chorus actually won’t make sense anymore…

Ouch.It seems awfully soon for Britney to be prepping for a tour, given that around this time last year she was hospitalized twice.

This is a tough one.I can hear people snarking about how he wants her money, so I have to wonder: is this for Britney’s own personal future or other family members?

Hopefully her doctor and other legal guardian (the attorney who is co-guardian with Jamie Spears) are weighing in on this, and they can figure out something that works for everyone involved.

Britney Spears Shows Off Her Abs! Hello, ABS! After two babies, I’m amazed at just how toned Britney Spears is looking.
Her official website posted the pictures of her rehearsing for her upcoming tour. From the looks of it, it’s going to be a good one. I wonder if she’ll be focusing on her new music, or if she’ll be pulling the Britney Spears classics out of the closet like Baby, One More Time.
Judging by the photos she looks more into her dancing than the last time we saw her perform, doesn’t she?

Casting Rumors: Spears For SATC And Pitt For McQueen Role Rumor time!
Sarah Jessica Parker wants Britney Spears to play her younger cousin who heads to NY to follow her dreams in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. At least, that’s what someone overheard her say… according to MTV News.
“My idea is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes.”
Suspect… I also overheard Sarah Jessica say that she wants to leave me $16 million dollars because of how great of a fan I’ve been throughout the years. She either said that or she wanted to know the time… it really wasn’t clear.
Also in movie news, Brad Pitt to play Steven McQueen? Producers Michael Cerenzie and Christine Peters recently acquired the rights to Marshall Terrill’s biography Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel – and plan to shoot a biopic later this year… hopefully with Brad as the lead. That’s their number one choice and are working hard at convincing the actor to come on board.
There are a number of actors being linked to the role of Steve McQueen but Brad is the frontrunner. He not only has the right look and acting talent but he shares Steve’s love for fast cars and motorcycles."

Britney Spears Shows New Home To Her Sons Did you know that Britney Spears twitters? Do any of you Twitter? I was really into it a few months ago and haven’t been on top of my feed as much as I would like to. But after installing Twitter on my Blackberry, I am ready to go again!
Well, Britney (or whoever is responsible for her Tweets) wrote on her account that she showed her sons the brand new home she purchased and they LOVED it. The singer cannot wait to move in… and who can blame her?
"I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can’t wait to move in."
The house sounds like a dream come true. For $8.9 million dollars, it better be!

priced at $8.9 million, a reduction on its original fee, according to a
real estate source.The gated, Italian Renaissance-inspired villa has about 7,500 square
feet and features a wet bar, a library, a den, high ceilings and stone

If it was just on the cd, then it is what it is, but placing the single on public airwaves might not be the best move for Britney Spears’ newest song. If You Seek Amy Causes Controversy For Britney Spears Parents everywhere are outraged at Britney Spears’ newest single, If You Seek Amy because it actually means something else. I’m recapping the article and still can’t see how it breaks down to be this way… but here goes nothing.
"All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin’ to/If You Seek Amy."
It sounds puzzling, until you realize the title breaks down as ‘F.*.*.K
ME’.I must be really tired, or really old – How does If You Seek Amy translate into F&*k me?
Update: I looked online and it sounds like it, doesn’t translate into it. So "eff-you-see-kay me" is how it is suppose to translate.
One mothers group in Australia sounded off:
"I was astonished and totally taken aback when I heard my five and
seven year old kids walking around the house singing, ‘F-*-*-K. When I
asked them what it was, they told me it was Britney Spears. I was
horrified."I got them the Circus album because little kids are Britney fans, but
there was no warning on the album and none of the songs listed had
F-*-*-K in the title."Listening to it, it is extremely blatant and offensive. I feel I have
been deceived into believing that this was acceptable content for
