  Britney Spears wanted to take part in this year’s finale show for the Super Bowl. And she was rejected! Why you ask? Two great reasons: “She’s too much of a train wreck” AND they “already have Paris Hilton.” I guess Janet Jackson left a bigger impression than I thought.
  

  Looks like Britney Spears has crotch-flashed her way out of the Super Bowl.Among the celebrity business being brokered while everyone is in L.A. for the Golden Globes is casting for an all-star NFL Network promo to air during the Feb. 4 football finale. A source familiar with negotiations says Spears’ people were turned down flat when they asked about participating. Looks like Britney Spears has crotch-flashed her way out of the Super Bowl. “She’s too much of a train wreck,” says the insider. “Besides, we already have Paris Hilton.”Spears’ infamous underwear-free week out in L.A. disqualified her from a Super Bowl still sensitive about Janet Jackson’s 2004 “wardrobe malfunction,” says the source.

  So the pool is a bit tacky. But an all inclusive trip to Vegas including a stay in a $40,000 a night suite isn’t half bad. Isaac Cohen knows how to pick his lady friends. Did I mention the suite had a glass elevator and a rotating BED! Hey Now!
  

  Sources tell PEOPLE the couple stayed in the tower’s $40,000-a-night, two-story Hugh Hefner Sky Villa on Saturday, where a Jacuzzi pool, a glass elevator, an 8-ft. rotating bed and a full bar are among the amenities.
  “They seem very happy together,” says a source who spotted the two, who started dating in the past month. Hotel officials had no comment. (source)

  Britney Spears gave a homeless man $300 when he approached her car in LA earlier this week. And SOMEHOW the press got wind of it. Hey, it’s better than talking about all the other stuff we’ve been yapping about right?

  Why isn’t the media burning down small towns and over turning fire trucks in protest against Britney Spears? Where are all the stories about how Britney is shielding Jayden from the world and is he for real and blah blah blah? I know there was a lot of negativity revolving around Katie and Tom. But the fact that NO ONE is saying anything about the public not seeing official pictures yet is ANNOYING! Sorry, I had to vent. I know it’s her decision to make. I know we are not privileged to see anything because we aren’t a part of her life. But to not go out with your entire family ONCE is… sad.
  And don’t think this doesn’t go for Angelina and Brad- because I feel the same way about them too.

  Britney Spears’ Online Message To Her Fans

  Dear Fans,
  It has been a while since I’ve addressed you personally here on my official website. The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me, the media has criticized my every move and printed a skewed perception of who I really am as a human being. Behind every decision I have made in my public life there always seems to be an apparent contradiction. I have come to terms with that which is why I usually don’t pay much attention to it.
  The last couple of years have been very enlightening for me and now that I’ve had the time to be “me,” I’ve been able to sit down and think about where I want to go with myself as an entertainer with absolutely no strings attached. I am now more mature and feel like I am finally “free.” I’ve been working so hard on this new album and I can’t wait for you all to hear it and to go on tour again! I would like to exclusively tell you that I am working hard to release the new album sometime later this year, but the date is of course not certain yet. I look forward to coming back this year bigger and better than ever, and to also reaching out to my fans on a more personal level. I noticed today that one of my biggest fansites is shutting down soon and I want you all to know that I do understand all the reasons that went behind making that decision, and I am sad to see it closing. If I were you I’d be unhappy too if I had to read what I’ve been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I’ve been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move, but I want you all to know that I love my fans so much, and I appreciate everything you have done for me, so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

  Jive Records To Drop Britney Spears?

  Britney Spears has had a rough couple of months. But she really isn’t THAT different than the rest of young Hollywood. So why would Jive Records decide to drop her album and HER from their label? They believe her record won’t sell because of all this bad press. Britney’s management is insisting that she is over this “rocky period” and is telling her to keep singing. But Cindy Adams has a source that claims Jive is going to officially give Brit Brit the ax any day now. When contacted Jive records had a different story. A rep said, “Jive’s relationship with Britney is fine. She continues to be one of our biggest worldwide artists and we remain 1,000 percent committed to her career.” So who knows? We will just have to wait and see.
  

  But sources tell us Spears faces imminent axing by her music label, Jive Records, which is “going to drop her any day now.” That word follows our colleague Cindy Adams‘ report on Wednesday that Jive execs have decided “to drop [the album] – and her.” Spears spent hours in Jive’s New York studios last month, but produced sub-par tracks. In addition, her hard-partying ways have damaged her image. Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolf, insisted yesterday that she’d revamp her image and continue to record, citing her “rocky period” as an excuse for her “unacceptable” behavior. But insiders believe the album will never hit shelves. “Like the rest of us,” said the source, “Jive is done with Britney Spears.” (source)

  UPDATE: ABC News has the full statement from Jive which promises an album release during the second half of this year:
  

  Contrary to media reports, Jive’s relationship with Britney Spears is fine,” a Jive spokesperson said. “She continues to be one of our biggest worldwide artists, and we remain 1000 percent committed to Britney’s career. She is currently in the middle of recording a terrific new album that we are very excited about releasing it in the second half of this year.” (source)

  “Britney’s been getting in better and better shape since she split with Kevin and wants her body immortalised in a portrait. “She loves the film ‘Titanic’, especially the scene where Kate Winslet’s character Rose gets painted in the nude. She wants it tastefully done, though, and is looking for the right artist to do it.”

  In case any of you were concerned about whether or not Britney Spears got drunk on New Year’s Eve… she didn’t. Her reps actually came out and said that she left the party at Pure at 1AM because she was tired. Um… Thanks!

  On Monday reports circulated that the 25-year-old mother of two has fainted and had to be carried out of a Ceasars Palace’s Pure nightclub in Sin City where she was hosting a party.
  “By about one o’clock, she was just done, so we took her out,” Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager, told The Associated Press on Monday. “She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep.”(source)

  “Britney Spears was drunk off her a$$. She was completely trashed. She couldn’t walk straight, she couldn’t stand up straight. She was completely gone. She suddenly barfed all over the place. There was barf all over the floor, some got on her; it smelled horrible. It was disgusting. It might have been sushi and saki she was spewing, since she’d dined at Katana Sushi Bar in West Hollywood a few hours earlier.
  “Someone ordered some pasta. Brit’s handlers wanted her to eat something, to try to fill her stomach with something besides alcohol. They didn’t want her getting alcohol poisoning and be rushed to a hospital. She ate a few bites, enough to settle her stomach.”
