Alicia Silverstone and a male friend went out to eat in the West Village for some healthy food. In my heart of hearts, I wish I wanted to eat so natural. But I can barely get myself to eat a salad! It's so funny because my son is still obviously eating jarred baby food and he LITERALLY eats so much healthier than I do! Alicia Silverstone generally stays out of the limelight unless it's to promote her vegan lifestyle. I don't think I could live without any animal products, but hey, to each his own! Her hair certainly looks shiny...maybe I need to buy myself some vegan shampoo :)

On Saturday the La Galaxy game against Chelsea was THE place to be! The Home Depot Center, where the game was played, even had a red carpet ready and waiting for the celebrities to walk down before they entered the stadium. Alicia Silverstone, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Victoria Beckham all paused for photo opportunities before the game. And of course, Victoria's bff, Katie Holmes, was there with Suri.
So is soccer the new hot sport in LA? Or will the excitement die down after people get used to having the Beckhams around?

Both Eva Longoria and Alicia Silverstone had hair appointments at Ken Paves' salon in West Hollywood yesterday. Eva spent about 4 hours for the above style.  I always wonder if he charges his friends. Alicia Silverstone is known for being one of Hollywood's sexiest vegans. But it wasn't too long ago that she was one of those gals chowing down on a good piece of steak.  People Magazine summarized her InStyle Home interview:

"Steak and doughnuts" were among her staples before she cleaned up her eating habits and went vegan, she tells the new InStyle Home.  "Now I'm a total health nut," says Silverstone, 30. "I don't get sick very often and when I do it's for a short period."
She attributes her health to her diet and active lifestyle. "It's empowering to know that you're responsible for how you feel each day because of the way you treat your body." (source)

Alicia also loves to work out on a trampoline with her husband in their backyard because it is fun and makes her giggle. If all exercise was fun and made me giggle, I would probably do it more often.

Samson and Alicia: Alicia drove her Prius to the Los Angeles photo studio, accompanied by one of her very best friends, her Rottweiler/Pit Bull/Doberman mix Samson. "They go everywhere together," says REDBOOK's Special Projects Director Lori Berger. "Samson is getting older and Alicia is very protective of him-you can feel the bond between the two of them. He's a total love and was getting pets from everyone." Alicia was casually and comfortably dressed in a white tank top and beat-up blue jeans. She quickly kicked off her shoes and stayed barefoot most of the day.
Vegan delight: Alicia requested that lunch be ordered from her favorite vegan restaurant in LA called M. She encouraged everyone to try something. REDBOOK's Photo Director Bruce Perez liked the kale with spicy pear sauce. Alicia even made up a plate of food for her dog (Samson is vegan, too!). "Sometimes when I only give him salad, he gives me this longing look," she told Perez. "So I cut up other stuff and mix it in."
Clothes call: "Alicia is just really truly a regular girl," says Berger. "She doesn't come with the attitude, entourage, etc. that stars can sometimes have." Alicia was a great sport about the clothes for the shoot. She won't wear anything made from animal products, including leather, wool, silk, and cashmere, so our stylists had a little trouble finding items. She happily tried on dresses and different tops with jeans, including loose tanks and baby doll dresses. "She brought her own non-leather shoes with her," remembers Berger, "and they were definitely nice and fashionable enough for the red carpet."
Sixth sense: During the day, the crew played a lot of 80s music and Alicia personally requested the most recent soundtrack from HBO's Six Feet Under, Six Feet Under: Volume 2.
