Nearly everyone attended the Cartier's Third Annual Loveday Celebration held at a private residence in Bel Air. Can you IMAGINE what that house looked like? I wish we could have seen those shots.

Ashanti wore an all white outfit while promoting her brand new cd, The Declaration at the Virgin Megastore in NYC. I had the opportunity to attend this promotion, but had already committed to meeting Miss Brooke Shields instead. Looks like it was a lot of fun! Ashanti is quite the performer.

She's left her mark on the music industry and now it seems that Ashanti has other dreams that need conquering... the movies. Looks like this singer is hoping to do more behind the scenes work. I just love her attitude towards trying new things.

"I’m always reading scripts. I’m even looking to get into some behind-the-scenes work. Maybe do some co-producing. It’s all about taking chances. You can’t be afraid to try something different."

Ashanti arrived to the 10th Anniversary Inspiration Award Gala in a floor length animal print dress with black shoes and chunky bracelets. I think animal print can look very chic and gorgeous and I love a red lip, but what do you think of Ashanti's look?

Ashanti was on her way into the MTV TRL studio and was nice enough to stop for photographers and give a little wave. I personally quite like her and while her music isn't the best it's definitely enjoyable to listen to. Having said that I have to question why she thought those pants would be a good idea. All that plaid and all those lines are NOT super flattering on her and she's a cute girl. Speaking of her clothing, what do you all think of her gray patent boots?

Fashion Week is upon us and I am so excited to be heading down there this weekend. Originally, I was going to do the entire week. BUT luckily, I aligned myself with my buddy Sam from Papier Doll who is going to supply me with photos from all the shows so I don't have to go the full seven days. PHEW!! 27 year old R&B singer, Ashanti looked lovely as she arrived to the 2007 Angel Ball in a pink floor length gown with a seriously sparkling neckline. First can you believe she's 27? She looks so... young. Younger than 27 for sure!! I guess that's what having no kids will do to you. I can barely see the keyboard thanks to the bulging bags under my eyes. Back to Ashanti's dress - hot or not?

It's been a couple of years since we've heard new music from Ashanti. She's back and looking prettier than ever! Her new album is titled, The Declaration. Ashanti has been hands on with this album, working with producers like Dr. Dre and Babyface.She told Billboard:

I'm steering my own ship and taking the lead on everything. You can definitely hear the growth; I'm working with producers I've never worked with before.

With her new single is "Switch," Ashanti is hoping to recapture some of her previous glory by teaming with Nelly.

8:45pm - I'm live blogging as I watch the MTV Video Music Awards. I told my husband he needs to handle the two kids until after Britney Spears performs. I am totally excited about this. WHAT IS THIS GIRL GOING TO DO? Sing Live? GASP! No - never happen. BUT, I am sure that she is going to do something wild. Let's discuss when it happens. She is also going to LAX for Diddy's party once the show is over.Oh and if you care about the feud between Kayne and 50, Kayne admitted the entire thing is a marketing ploy. He promises he has no beef with anyone.8:57 - I guess everyone is going blonde these days huh? Doesn't mean I like it. Nelly Furtado looks a heck of a lot better than yesterday. Mary J. Blige has been going back and forth from light to dark over the years. Nothing new here.9:00- BRITNEY IS ON!! Close up on the extensions! HA!!! Blue contacts and a bikini... her body looks great. And naturally, she isn't singing. She isn't really dancing either. Just walking around the stage calmly lipping the song. I'm looking for pictures!!9:06 - Sarah Silverman is talking about Britney's kids and it's uncalled for! She called them the cutest mistakes ever. As cute as the hairless va-ja-ja they came out of!
