Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson welcomed 10 week old puppy Rigby into their family. That puppy is adorable! But should they be adding more responsibility on their plate with the new baby on the way? Guess everyone is different. They probably wanted the dog trained and part of the family before the child arrives which completely makes sense.

Parents to be Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson shared a special moment with his parents when they all attended the grand opening of the bar Angels + Kings that Pete just opening in Chicago. It was also a second celebration for Pete's 29th birthday!

During the event, Wentz was treated to a special slide-show of photos from his youth, compiled by his pregnant spouse. Upon hearing of the montage, Wentz said to the singer/actress, "I thought you said you wouldn't do anything embarrassing!" She replied, "I know, I'm sorry Peter," before starting the presentation.

The show ended with a video clip of Simpson-Wentz saying, "I love you, Peter," as she blew a kiss into the camera. Wentz was then presented with a large bulldog-shaped birthday cake, in honour of their beloved pet Hemingway.

Awww, so cheesy, but cute! call me a romantic, but I love seeing couples in love. :)

Pete Wentz has fond childhood memories of his time in Chicago. So much in fact that the Fall Out Boy is considering moving back to the windy city to raise his unborn child. Wonder what Ashlee Simpson has to say about that?

"I think I would rather raise a family here than L.A.; you go to your own coffee shop, you go to the dog park, its smaller and I appreciate it."

And what is he doing to prepare himself for daddyhood (as if there is really something you can do)? Reading up on books and watching good ol' dad.

"I’ve been reading books and watching my dad."

I LOVE talking about this because it always fascinates me to discover who found out and who didn't. Even amongst my friends, as soon as I find out the couple is pregnant, the first thing I ask is whether or not they are going to find out the gender.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson have decided that they want to know ahead of time to prepare. And look out Ashlee because Pete is looking for lots and lots of children!

"I’d like to know the sex of the baby. It would be a bummer if you bought a boy a bunch of pink stuff!

I want either a band or a football team or a good geometry club."

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were seen leaving a medical facility. They were in good spirits and told photographers that everything is fine with Ashlee's pregnancy.

Don't expect another Christina Aguilera this summer. Ashlee Simpson has opted out of her summer tour as she doesn't feel she can give her all on stage while pregnant. All dates have been removed from schedule.

"After careful consideration, Ashlee Simpson has decided to postpone her summer tour. She is committed to giving her fans the best show possible, and will be back better than ever and ready to rock in the future."

"Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least three months before sharing this very personal news. We wanted to wait until after the first trimester before confirming anything, just like any other couple.

"Being a boy I have no idea how to respond to such things and my first instinct was to protect her and the baby.

"It’s insane that you can’t let happy news brew in Hollywood. This wasn’t about press or anything. It was about the health of the baby and trying to find a way to be happy with what should be the most happy time of our lives in the middle of a press blitz.

"I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend."

So happy for them!!! Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have finally confirmed what we've all been speculating...she's pregnant! Pete wrote up a little something in his blog to share the good news with the world.

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Well, now we won't have to play the "Is that a bump or is she expecting a food baby," game. :)

Congrats to the newlyweds, this really is a special time in their lives.

Ashlee has also said that she has taken Pete's last name and will go by Simpson-Wentz publicly.

"I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a man," the pop star lil' sis of Jessica Simpson told the magazine. "It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."
