I don't have a lot of pictures from this event, but I wanted to post anyways as Eva Mendes just looks absolutely stunning! She headed down under to Australia for the launch party of 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty.

What do we think of her dress? Mustard yellow isn't for everybody, but Eva rocks it, right?

I love to find out personal things like who stars have crushes on. Typically it is NOT who you expect to hear. Eva Mendes was a HUGE Oasis fan in the 90s and still has a little crush on the lead singer today.

"Before I was an actress, when Oasis were really hot in America, I went to LA to see them play. I had a crush on Liam Gallagher. I got backstage and met him. But I was so in awe of him, I couldn’t say anything. He just looked at me as if I was dumb. Just thinking about it now makes me break out in a cold sweat."

Now, you have to wonder what Liam is thinking about this revelation!! Imagine knowing that Eva Mendes has a crush on you. Woo hoo! 

Isn't that always the way it is? Parents are simultaneously our biggest fans and our biggest critics. Eva Mendes says that her mom is constantly scrutinizing her on the red carpet.

"Every time I walk the red carpet, she’ll say, 'Oh, the hair was a bit too much,' or she'll comment on the shoes.”

Eva also added that while she may play the rebels on the big screen, that's not how she is in real life.

"My character may be a bad girl, but I'm not."

As for rehab, she will never talk about it.

"People can speculate all they want. I'm not going to clear up the misconceptions. I have to think of the pain it might bring my mother."

Eva Mendes makes a quick exit from the airport after landing at LAX.

We all saw Eva Mendes' Interview cover and gawked over it. Now here is a little excerpt of what she had to say. The interviewer started off the conversation with a joke about rehab and Eva was NOT amused.

David Colman: Now let's talk about substance abuse. My favorite topic.
Eva Mendes: Great.
DC: First of all, what is it with actors and substance abuse?
EM: I don't know. I'm not a spokesperson for any kind of substance-abuse organization.
DC: They're going to have to change the name of it to "Alcoholics Unanimous."
EM: [silence]
DC: I'm sorry, that's a bad joke.
EM: I'm not making jokes, because people die from this stuff. So, honestly, I think it's a bit tacky that you made a joke. I've got to be honest.
DC: You're angry. Listen . . .

The Fashion Spot

I would love to know how much of the museum Eva Mendes did in those heels! Whenever I go, I try to wear sneakers or flats because all that walking and standing can really do a number on my feet.
