Fact Or Fiction: Angelina Jolie Says Fidelity Isn’t Necessary For A Healthy Relationship

Angelina Jolie doesn’t believe fidelity is essential in a relationship.

The Hollywood actress – who raises six children with her long-term partner Brad Pitt – believes open romances can work just as well as monogamous relationships, if both partners agree to it. She told Das Neue magazine:

“I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

I TOTALLY DON’T BELIEVE SHE SAID THIS. WAITING ON RETRACTION BY A REP. I mean seriously – did Angie really say this?

The 34-year-old screen beauty also revealed the pair have a fiery relationship.

“The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt.”

I call BS. What do you think? Doesn’t even SOUND like her. I think this magazine is just trying to get a little press.

Fact Or Fiction: Is Simon Cowell Leaving ‘American Idol’?

These rumors have been popping up here or there, but according to E! Online, Simon Cowell’s own brother is now saying Simon may be leaving the show when his contract is up on his podcast ‘The Cowell Factor.’

“A press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011,” Tony says in this week’s installment.

I wonder if this is a negotiation ploy (like, “I want X amount or I won’t re-sign”). It’s hard enough to imagine ‘American Idol’ without Paula Abdul, but without Simon?

I know ‘American Idol’ is a juggernaut, but is there a show without honest (but tough) feedback? Fact or fiction?

Fact Or Fiction: Trouble In Paradise For Nicole Scherzinger And Lewis Hamilton

Nicole Scherzinger’s romance with racing driver Lewis Hamilton is reportedly on the rocks. The Pussycat Dolls singer has been dating the British Formula One ace for nearly three years, but they have reportedly not seen each other in three weeks and shelved plans to spend Christmas together. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper:

“Lewis and Nicole have had a few problems for a while now. They love each other dearly but have incredibly busy schedules.

“Nicole was in London last week and was desperate to hook up with Lewis but she was busy in the studio while he is on a European training camp and couldn’t come back.

“Hopefully after a month apart, they will come to their senses and give things another go.”

Despite the claims, a spokesperson for Lewis insisted the couple are “perfectly fine”.

Fact Or Fiction: Amy Winehouse Is Engaged To Re-Marry Blake Fielder-Civil

It’s hard to keep up with this one! Three weeks ago, Amy Winehouse’s family said she had no intention of re-marrying Blake Fielder-Civil. However, Blake himself said he and Amy plan to marry again. According to Blake, they only got divorced due to pressure from their families.

‘Amy and I have talked about getting married again and starting a family. This time we’re doing things properly and hopefully that will help our families both come round to the idea.

‘We’ve been through a lot but we love each other the same as ever. We tried to get on with our lives and see other people, but it wasn’t the same.’

Blake admits Amy’s father won’t be happy about this but they are “love each other.”

Fact Or Fiction: Is Kanye West Going To Marry Amber Rose?

Word is Kanye West wants to marry his girlfriend, Amber Rose. He reportedly plans to whisk her away to a lavish villa in the Dominican Republic to propose.

A friend said: “He has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life. He’s very serious, otherwise he wouldn’t be spending that much money on her.”

Wasn’t Kanye engaged to his last girlfriend for several years before breaking it off after his mother died?

Perhaps I’m getting too cynical, but just like some celebs conveniently break up when they have a movie to promote, I think others start talking marriage to boost their image…

They Broke Up Again?

How many times will Jake’s camp rehash this story to get this actor in the new in order to help support the release of his newest movie, ‘Brothers’? Yes, that’s exactly what I think is going on. It’s like clockwork. A movie is coming out – and a relationship fizzles. Then the movie gets pulled from the theatre and suddenly the couple is hand in hand again. (Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green anyone? No? How about Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer?)

But let’s play along.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have reportedly split up.

The Hollywood couple – who began dating in 2007 – have decided to call time on their relationship but sources insist the break-up is amicable.

There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese’s kids.”

Reese – who has two children, Ava, 10, and six-year-old Deacon, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe – and Jake were rumored to have split two weeks ago but their representatives insisted they were still very much together.

But after spending some time apart, they realized the romance was over. The source added to E! Online:

“They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts. When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they’re not going to be together anymore.”

In October, it was claimed the couple had got engaged after the Oscar-winning actress was spotted flaunting a gold band on her wedding finger.

“Reese looked delighted, and she was definitely showing off the ring. She kept holding her finger up for people to see, she even flashed it around when she was getting in her car.”
