Kate Beckinsale is a classy lady but she's had a few close calls with the paparazzi trying to get the money shot. She said one day she was forced to go bare down there because of a super tight dress and the photographers were all over her.

"It was one of those nights when I wore a supertight dress that you couldn't have worn anything under, since it would have showed. The paparazzi were literally lowering their cameras like speculums when I got out of the car."

She wasn't sure if she had flashed and upskirt so she did a reenactment with her husband.

"On the way home, I said to my husband 'Darling, I think they might have gotten it.' And so when we pulled in I made him re-enact the thing with his camera - a sort of crime-scene run through. It appears I survived unscathed."

I couldn't decide between these two quotes as they are both post worthy. So we'll just double up for our Quote of the Day post.

Allure Magazine hosted a party for Victoria Beckhamat the Bond restaurant to celebrate her cover for this month's edition. They chose the Beverly Thompson Hotelin Beverly Hills and a few of Victoria's celebrities friends were photographed arriving. I love that these 6 are so close. They seem to really enjoy one another!

Kate Beckinsale celebrated her birthday with friends at the Thompson Hotel. David and Victoria Beckham each flashed a rare smile while driving up to the event. Eva Longoria and Tony Parker also attended dressed completely opposite of one another. Eva was dressed red carpet ready and Tony looked like he was going to basketball practice. Isn't it funny how such a double standard exists? It's ok for him to not put the effort in. But if Eva walked into the party wearing sneakers, it would cause us all to do a double take. 

Other guests included Dustin Hoffman and his wife (not pictured).

In OTHER news, my neighbor came over last night and we were talking about David. He said that man makes $1 million a WEEK (I accidentally wrote day this morning) based on his current Galaxy contract and sponsorship deals. Can. You. Imagine?

Kate Beckinsale along with husband Len Wiseman and daughter Lilly went to Dustin Hoffman's July 4th beach party. Can someone please place the man sitting next to Len for me? It's driving me CRAZY that I can't remember his name.

Kate Beckinsale, Len Wiseman, daughter Lily, and her friend enjoyed a hot afternoon in Brentwood getting some ice cream and walking around. Normally Kate wears all black, but this time she softened up her look with a long flowy floral dress and pink bow accent. Personally I love it.

During a car chase where the paparazzi were attempting to get photos of Kate Beckinsale and her family, the actress ran out of gas. Odds are Kate didn't want to stop because she knew that the paps would just snap away at the gas station. So she attempted to make it home and failed.

When Kate pulled the car over, The Underworld star got out of the car and asked the photographers for help. In the end, they family was thankful they were there!

Wiseman admitted to one snapper:

"(This is) the one time we’re actually really glad you’re following us. Can you help us get some gas? We just ran out."

Summer is here (well, not yet technically) and the bright colors have returned. What do you think about the purse that Kate Beckinsale wore while shopping with her husband Len Wiseman and daughter Lily?

I think it's great once an actress is big enough she can refuse to do a naked scene since EVERY movie seems to have one these days. Kate Beckinsale would not bare her bottom on a shower scene for her latest film, Whiteout.

Instead, the studio had to hire a woman to stand in for her at the rate of $2,000 a day. I'm not sure anyone would want to see mine, but for $2,000 it's a chance I am willing to take.

"The script called for her character to be filmed nude in a shower, focusing in on her bottom and thighs. Kate insisted on a double being hired. She was quite open on the set about not liking her body and said she particularly loathed her bottom and was not comfortable baring it."
