Kim Raver is on the cover of next month's Cookie Magazine and WOW does she look beautiful with her babies! I love her on Lipstick Jungle. That show has really grown on me, so I was excited to read her interview. The poor woman talks about her struggles with weight and body image after having a baby.
On returning to work to the set of Lipstick Jungle after having her second son Leo just weeks after giving birth… "It was important to me to experience both nursing Leo and recovering from having him. I'd be in a fitting trying to squeeze into clothes, and I'd think, I'm not doing this. There's going to be more milk, and healthier milk, if I'm eating well, and I'm already stressed out because of my work level." Â
On her body image after having a baby: "I remember crying at one photo shoot because I couldn't get into the dresses I'd normally fit into. Brooke [Shields, her costar] was so lovely. She reminded me that [this period is just] a short window."
Raver's message to other new moms: "Remember to love the body you're in after having a baby. You're not sleeping. You're juggling one, two, or three kids. If it's emotionally satisfying at three or four in the morning, when the baby won't go back to sleep, have a piece of chocolate! While you nurture your baby, it's important to nurture yourself."
It's so sad that actresses and women in general feel so much pain over the way we look. The media has fooled us into thinking that just having a baby isn't good enough, we need to be a size zero after giving birth too.

Andrew McCarthy, Kim Raver, Brooke Shields, Lindsay Price, Robert Buckley and Paul Blackhome attended the Lipstick Jungle Premiere Party hosted by Maybelline. Lindsay looks amazing!! Also showing support for the show were Rosie Perez, Natasha Bedingfield and Mary Tyler Moore.
All of our shows are coming back and I just cannot wait! This year I got into Entourage a bit which actually is turning out to be a pretty good show. Yes, I know... I'm way on top of media trends. :) Fringe I LOVE and Tru Blood on HBO is a complete disaster, but it's about vampires so I am sticking with it hoping it will get better. But it literally pains me to get through an episode.
Any early releases tickling your fancy?

Yes, that's right, I said between takes. Kim Raver and Robert Buckley were looking mighty friendly on the set of Lipstick Jungle. But, it's just that co-star chemistry. Kim is a married woman!
I think I may have to start watching this show for the man candy alone...he is HOT. And all the actresses in Lipstick Jungle are gorgeous too, so that would work out well for the hubby too. :)

If this isn't a perk to being a leading lady on a hit TV show, then I don't know what is. During downtime between takes of Lipstick Jungle, Kim Raver gets to smooch and cuddle with Leo Kipling Boyer, her little baby boy. How sweet!

Oh my goodness! What a GREAT picture to wake up to in the AM. This Saturday is going to be alright after all.
Mary Tyler Moore, Kim Raver, Robert Buckley and Brooke Shields were photographed on the film set for 'Lipstick Jungle' at the East Village. Who can look at any of the ladies when we have Robert's perfect pecks staring right at us? Thank goodness for shirts vs. skins!

"I keep thinking I'm younger than I am. The other day, I was working with a photographer to recreate an image we had done years ago. When I saw my face, I kind of went, 'What is that?' I assumed I was going to look the same, and I didn't. It was a shock to my system."-- Brooke Shields on agingBrooke Shields was photographed with the rest of the cast of Lipstick Jungle at the NY premiere. Here is what she said about the surgery.
"(I've spent) too much time in Capezio shoes. Watch, I'll come out of that surgery with double D's. It'll be my version of a deviated septum."
