Penelope Cruz At The Spanish Premiere Of "Vicky Cristina Barcelona"

The lovely and gorgeous Penelope Cruz looked fantastic while walking the red carpet for the Spanish premiere of, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" in Barcelona, Spain this past weekend.  The equally gorgeous Javier Bardem was there, as well as director Woody Allen.

Did anyone see this in theaters? What did you think of it? I'm so curious to see how this film does.

New Penelope Cruz For Mango Ads

New Penelope Cruz For Mango Ads

One word...GORGEOUS.  Penelope Cruz' new Mango ads have come out and they are stunning, of course.  Would we really expect anything less from this Spanish beauty?

And best of all, she doesn't even look freakishly photoshopped.  So many magazines and ad campaigns airbrush stars until they're unrecognizable so it's nice to see Penelope actually looking like, well, Penelope.

Penelope Cruz Arriving To The Good Morning America Show

Penelope Cruz Arriving To The Good Morning America Show

Penelope Cruz arrived to the "Good Morning America" Show to promote her new movie, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" which co-stars the lovely Scarlett Johansson and the amazing Javier Bardem. As usual,  I love what Penelope is wearing and could definitely see myself buying the entire outfit.

Penelope recently sppke about her time in school and still can't believe she made it through. The actress admitted she spent most of her time daydreaming.

"I was good (at school) but I was surprised because I didn’t put too much time in. I was always dreaming about the things I wanted to do when I was older, like acting. I still don’t know why or how I passed because I literally put no time in. But I did actually enjoy every subject. Except mathematics."

The beautiful Penelope Cruz attended the New York premiere of her new movie, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" which was held at the Cinema 2 last night. Penelope can do now wrong and always seems to choose classic chic pieces. Any thoughts on her outfit?

Also in attendance was the equally lovely Carla Gugino who choose to wear a very low cut spotted dress and gold sandals.

L.A. Premiere Of Vicky Christina Barcelona

L.A. Premiere Of Vicky Christina Barcelona

Three of the most beautiful Hollywood leading ladies, Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek, all attended the L.A. premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Oh, and Javier Bardem was there too. That's so much hotness in one room, I'm surprised the place didn't catch on fire. Too cheesy? Ok, I'll stop. :P

Penelope Cruz Takes In Stray Cats And Has A Tattoo She Doesn't Like To Talk About

Penelope Cruz Takes In Stray Cats And Has A Tattoo She Doesn't Like To Talk About

ONTD posted an excerpt from a Newsweek interview with Penelope Cruz. It was a bit awkward on the interviewers part, but Penelope handled it well. Read below to see what she had to say.

--

Should we do this interview in English or Spanish?
I would ask you in which language are you going to write it. And depending on that, we'll do it in that language.

I should tell you that I don't speak Spanish.
Well, that's it!

Let's get this out of the way. What was it like kissing Scarlett?
Really, Scarlett and I have run out of lines to say about that. We're calling Woody to give us some material. People love that subject. The only thing which is honest, the set was very crowded that day. But I don't have anything else to tell you about it.

Did you have to do any research?
Very funny.

Aren't you a funny person?
In interviews, I completely lose my sense of humor. I lose at least 50 percent, if not more.

Why is that?
It's unfortunate, but I think you're obligated to do that in a way. I try to do what feels honest. We're always talking to strangers in interviews. So it would be fake to talk like you knew that person for years. So why not pay attention to what's natural, which is that the situation is not natural. And then I think it's OK to be guarded or decide what things you want to talk about.

But I always approach an interview like I'm talking to a friend.
I imagine if I was on your side, that's the best attitude to have. The whole interview, we're going to be talking about interviewing!

OK, new subject. I read that you take in stray cats. Is that true?
I have a couple, yes, that I have found in the streets.

And you keep them now?
Of course. I didn't drown them in the river.

Is it true that you have 883 tattooed on your ankle?
It is true, but I never say why.

Is it an area code?
No, and it's not a Harley-Davidson. It's not the different things that have been said.

So everyone can have a theory?
I don't think anyone cares. It's my own tattoo.

And it's your own ankle.
Uh-huh.

First Look At Elegy - Production Stills

First Look At Elegy - Production Stills

Elegy stars Oscar®-nominee Penélope Cruz and Academy Award®-winner Ben Kingsley, with extraordinary supporting performances from Dennis Hopper, Patricia Clarkson and Peter Sarsgaard.

ELEGY is based on Pulitzer Prize-winner Philip Roth’s short novel The Dying Animal. Driven by Isabel Coixet’s visually assured and deeply observant direction, The movie charts the passionate relationship between a celebrated college professor and a young woman whose beauty both ravishes and destabilizes him. As their intimate connection transforms them—more than either could imagine—a charged sexual contest evolves into an indelible love story. With humanistic warmth, wry wit and erotic intensity, ELEGY explores the power of beauty to blind, to reveal and to transform.

Penelope Cruz In W Magazine

Penelope Cruz In W Magazine

She really is one of the most beautiful ladies in show business. Penelope Cruz graced the cover of W Magazine for their August issue. Aside from how gorgeous she looks on the cover, the old school Hollywood black and white photo is really cool too!

And her are a few snippets from her interview with the magazine.

Penélope Cruz tells W magazine about her inner 'monster': "I'm always finding very tricky and hidden ways to sabotage any beautiful moment. And it's something so internal that I don't think even my friends or family can catch me doing it. But I catch myself doing it. I've had that battle since I was a little girl. It's like, Uh-oh, here it is again, the monster! Go away and leave me alone!"

ON FACING HER FEARS… "I try not to run away from things because I'm scared of them. When you feel you have to say something to someone, and your heart starts going fast because it could be controversial, I always vote for saying it. With time, you get more at peace with it. I used to get very upset about it, and very angry at myself. But now, when it comes, I just send it away."

17 Hours Of Reality Television A Day?

17 Hours Of Reality Television A Day?

Penelope Cruz has become a target for reality shows produced in her native Spain. Aggressive cameramen follow her around all day from the moment she steps out of her door in an attempt to fill up the hours of television programming they are committed to running.

"In Spain these TV shows are on for maybe 17 hours a day. They are very cheap to make because they just have somebody running after people in the street with a camera, provoking them, insulting them.

"They are waiting for more and more drama… Unless they have a dead body in front of them, it’s not enough. I mean, it is just beyond crazy and completely unacceptable."

And I thought US celebs had it bad!

Penelope Cruz In Cannes

Penelope Cruz In Cannes

The beautiful and always put together Penelope Cruz attended day 4 of The 2008 Cannes Film Festival to help promote 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.

A painter enters a relationship with two American tourists. Conflict begins with the painter's jealous ex-girlfriend.

Also in the film are Javier Bardem (can't go wrong with him) and Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett has been very busy lately hasn't she? New music, an engagement and several movies under wraps. Perhaps that is why we haven't seem her around.

PS Woody Allen directed and wrote this piece.
