Doctors Order Brooke Mueller To Reduce Stress, Get Therapy

Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, is still in the hospital’s intensive care unit, battling pneumonia. Doctors are concerned about her slow recovery.

A source shared with People:

The doctors told Brooke on Sunday that if she wants to get better she has to reduce stress and get a lot of R&R in the coming weeks,” a source close to Mueller tells PEOPLE. “Her mom is checking out spas around the country now.”

Brooke’s mother wants her to spend some time away from Charlie:

“Moira wants Brooke to get away from Charlie, away from L.A., and away from all of the stresses that are hurting her immune system,” the source tells PEOPLE. “She is checking out major spas on the East Coast to target both mental and physical therapies to help her daughter.”

“The doctors basically said Brooke is not going to get better without taking her health in her own hands and reducing the stress surrounding her life,” the source tells PEOPLE. “She has to do it now.”

I wish her a speedy recovery. Hopefully she gets all of the rest she needs to battle these infections! How scary.

Jay Leno Talks About His Relationship With Conan O’Brien And David Letterman

Inside Edition caught up with Jay Leno outside of a California comedy club over the weekend and got to ask him a few questions about Conan O’Brien. Here’s what was said:

Inside Edition: “Are you and Conan still friends?”

Leno: “I hope so.”

Inside Edition: “Are you worried its going to tarnish your image?”

Leno: “You know what’s good for tarnish? Vinegar and ammonia.”

Then E! News caught up with Jay as he left the club and got to ask him about rival David Letterman. Here’s a video of what Jay had to say:

I keep wondering how this is all going to work out. I suspect Jay has lost a lot of the younger audience because they’re upset about what happened with Conan, so that’s a problem.

Nancy Kerrigan’s Brother Charged With Assault After Their Father Dies

What a tragedy. Former Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan’s father, Daniel, died yesterday. He reportedly died during an altercation with Nancy’s brother, Mark Kerrigan.

According to the police report, Mark and Daniel were yelling and pushing at each other until Daniel suddenly fell to the ground.

Nancy’s mother told police the fight was over the telephone — when Daniel refused to let Mark use the phone, Mark grabbed him by the throat. When Daniel was choking, Mark thought his father was “faking it.”

Oh my goodness.

Nancy’s mother told the press:

“My husband had a massive heart attack,” adding “This is a very difficult time for me.”

Mark was charged with assault and battery on an elderly person and causing serious bodily injury, according to TMZ.

According to TMZ, this is nearly 16 years to the day after Nancy was attacked after practice before the Winter Olympic trials.

My thoughts are with the Kerrigan family.

What Really Happened The Night Of Tiger Woods’ Car Crash

Investigative reporter Gerald Posner of ‘The Daily Beast’ claims to know the whole story of what happened the night of Tiger Woods’ fateful car crash. He says he’s spoken to anonymous “sources” close to Elin Nordegren.

Here’s a brief version of what supposedly happened:

* Just before Tiger’s affair with Rachel Uchitel was reported in the National Enquirer, he put Uchitel on the phone with his wife for a half-hour, so she could convince Elin the relationship was platonic.

* Elin confirmed her lingering suspicions about Tiger’s affair with Uchitel by impersonating her husband in text messages with Uchitel, prompting the rage that led to Woods fleeing his house.

* Tiger had taken the sedative Ambien that night, and was in a stupor when Elin woke him following her sting operation on Uchitel.

* After his wife’s wakeup, Tiger sent Uchitel a panicky text warning her that Elin had discovered the affair and implying that divorce was imminent. Elin quickly found this text as well, which precipitated her chasing him out of the house with a golf club.

* Tiger did not immediately return home when he was released from the hospital, likely explaining why Elin did not accede to much-publicized requests from visiting police officers to chat with Woods.

Andy Dick Arrested

We haven’t heard much from Andy Dick lately, and I’d hoped it was because he was doing better, but it doesn’t sound like it. TMZ reports that Andy was arrested in West Virginia this morning for two counts of felony sexual abuse.

He is currently in custody at the Western Regional Jail. He is due to be arraigned sometime today.

Dick was in town performing at the Funny Bone in Huntington, WV.

Dick is currently on probation over an incident at a pizza joint, where he was arrested for sexual assault. He copped a plea to battery.

It sounds like his time with Dr. Drew wasn’t too successful. Hopefully he’ll go into a reputable, intensive treatment program. He’s a funny comic, but he has to deal with his issues.

Roman Polanski Ordered To Return To U.S. For Sentencing

Roman Polanski’s attorneys’ request that their client be sentenced in absentia to time already served was denied by a California Superior Court judge yesterday. The judge said he ruled:

“in defense of the integrity of the justice system, he needs to surrender.”

The director’s attorneys are expected to appeal this ruling.

I know there are questions about whether or not Roman was treated fairly by the judge, etc, etc, but I have to say, any other person who’d spent the last 32 years as a fugitive would have to appear in court. Why shouldn’t he?

If he feels he was treated unfairly, then fight it in court, just like ANYONE ELSE would have to. What do you think?
