Scandal and Rumors
LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Go Public
You have no idea how much I wish I had the rights to these photos to show them to you, but I don’t so you’ll have to go here. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have gone public with their romance with their first public outing: at a golf course.
"Eddie arrived at the private country club in his Porsche a few minutes
before LeAnn," says an eyewitness. "LeAnn was beaming when she saw
Eddie and the two gave each other a quick hug. Eddie was sweet and went
to buy water and energy drinks from the golf store."
They reportedly spent about three hours there.
"LeAnn was sans makeup and looked very happy and carefree. Between
holes, LeAnn leaned back, put her feet up and sipped her energy drink
while Eddie drove her around on a golf cart," adds the source. "They
weren’t super affectionate, and instead more flirty in a fun and loving
Despite their attempts to be discreet, the
eyewitness tells PEOPLE, "They had lots of chemistry. They are a cute
couple and they looked very happy and comfortable together."
Us Weekly claims that before this golf date, LeAnn and Eddie have only met in secret. They also got Eddie’s wife’s, Brandi Glanville, reaction to Eddie’s comments about being "placed in an unfair fishbowl:"
"Eddie is a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker, and he has
been an absentee father," she says. "Eddie may just end up drowning
himself in that ‘unfair fishbowl.’ "
Brandi, who has left Eddie, also said his choices have "hurt" their two children: Mason, age 6, and Jake, age 2.
And as if this isn’t enough drama, LeAnn is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police for an alleged hit and run accident, according to TMZ. Officials reportedly questioned LeAnn about leaving the scene after hitting another car around 7:45 pm last night, after her golf date with Eddie.
The LAPD has not decided if the case should be sent to the City attorney for possible prosecution.
Oh LeAnn, what is going on with you?

Does It Mean Anything That Mischa Barton Was Excluded From Her Show’s Ad Campaign?
Surely by now you’ve seen the new advertising campaign for Mischa Barton’s new show, ‘The Beautiful Life.’ You know, the campaign that has the stars of the show posing nude (but with strategically placed arms/hands to keep it the pictures from being completely revealing).
Yet one cast member is missing from the campaign: the star of the show, Mischa. Her rep insists it is not a sign that the actress is about to be replaced.
Her spokesperson says, "She didn’t participate in that shoot. It didn’t
work out timing-wise for her. (The photo shoot took place) a while ago
when she was in London."
A spokesperson for the CW network also backs the star: "This is just
one element of the network’s marketing campaign, and not every cast
member is in each piece of creative."
That makes sense, but I have to admit, I’ve never seen an advertising campaign for a show that omitted the star. Yet these ads are so eye-catching, it probably doesn’t matter. And Mischa’s obviously on the show; these pictures were taken of her on set.
Are you interested in watching this show about models, ‘The Beautiful Life’?

Dean McDermott And Tori Spelling Respond To Candy Spelling’s Statement
When I say Candy Spelling’s statements, I’m talking about the one addressed to her "middle-aged reality show stars" statement, not the "I love you" one. TMZ caught up with Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott at the airport and asked them about it.
Tori said she "hadn’t read anything," and Dean had this to say:
"We don’t use our children as props. We take really good care of our children."
As for Candy’s assertion that her invitation to her granddaughter’s birthday was merely a TV set-up?
"Everyone’s entitled to their opinion."
You can watch a video of the encounter here. Something tells me this feud won’t end anytime soon.

Eddie Cibrian Speaks Out
"What I do know is when you reach a certain point in your career you’re
placed in this unfair fishbowl," Eddie says. "Things unfortunately get
magnified. We are all human, we are all not perfect. The fact is I love
my family dearly, and I’m a great father. It just saddens me that this
is hurtful and being played out publicly."
You can watch a video clip of his interview here.
Of course, we don’t really know what has happened behind closed doors, but I’m not sure if Eddie’s statements change my mind about anything. How about you?

Dane Cook Refuses To Apologize For Vanessa Hudgens Joke
Comedian Dane Cook presented the Choice Hottie award at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. Before he presented the award, he made a joke at Vanessa Hudgens’ expense (more nude photos of the Disney star surfaced last week of her talking on the phone topless).
Dane joked, "Vanessa Hudgens, girl, you got to keep your clothes on! Phones are for phone calls, girls!" and was booed by the audience in response.
Vanessa herself was sitting in the audience.
Dane isn’t backing down, however, and defended his joke.
"I planned it about 20 minutes before I went out there. (I said it) because I like to be on the cusp of fear.
"Mostly I just wanted it to be funny. That’s the best part about being a comic, when you go, ‘Maybe I can say the thing that everybody is kind of feeling and nobody (is saying).’ The elephant-in-the-room (awkward) moment. So, I’ll take it, I’ll take the hit. It’s okay."
Dane’s cook was cut from the telecast, but TMZ has the footage here.
What do you think: did Dane cross the line?

Eddie Cibrian Is Trying To Save His Marriage
Okay, of course we’ve all heard about the rumors that Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes had an affair while filming a Lifetime movie together. Then Eddie’s wife, Brandi Glanville, accused LeAnn of "stalking" her husband, which just added more fuel to the fire. Yet it sounds like Eddie is committed to saving his marriage. His manager issued this statement today.
"Apparently the press wishes to continue to
play out Eddie Cibrian’s domestic situation publicly with an unfair
flair of tabloid fervor," Cibrian’s manager said in a statement
released to Access Hollywood.
"Eddie is a devoted and loving father first
and foremost and the speed bump he and Brandi are experiencing needs to
be worked out privately for everyone’s benefit," the statement
I’m all for working out marital issues privately, especially when children are involved. But why issue this statement?
Oh well. Hopefully things will work out for the best!
