  Halle Berry Made An Impression On Olivier Martinez

  Halle Berry has been over in South Africa shooting her new film “Dark Tide” with Olivier Martinez. Halle shared that the cast and crew struggled with sea sickness on the first few days of shooting. The actress made quite an impression on her co-star:

  “I got seasick the first day, threw up on [co-star] Olivier’s shoes, about nine people got taken off the boat because they couldn’t handle it.”

  In an interview with ET that will air tonight, she also talks about her daughter Nahla realizing something is “different” about her mom:

  “She knows something goes on weird with Mommy because when we leave the house there’s always paparazzi and people flashing and its kinda tense and stressful, so she knows something goes on different with Mommy unlike anybody else. I don’t think she knows what that is yet.”

  Halle added that Nahla may be headed for a career in acting:
  

  I think she’s got it in her blood.”

  I don’t own the rights, but People has a photo of them kissing, though it’s so grainy and far away you really can’t make out much. It certainly does look like the back of Halle’s head though

  “It was the classic ‘I’m going to kiss you here in a dark corner’ move. And she was waiting to be kissed.”

  “They had their arms around each other as they walked. They were both smiling and laughing Their body language was very flirtatious. They definitely seemed like a couple – absolutely looked like more than friends.”

  Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are hard at work on the set of ‘Dark Tide’ in South Africa.

  The co-stars were spotted in Simon’s Town Harbor, where a large portion of the movie is said to be filming. The movie is a thriller about a diving instructor who returns to the water after almost being killed by a Great White shark.

  Speaking of sharks, did you guys watch “Shark Week”? It’s turned into such a HUGE thing – 30 MILLION viewers. Crazy! Maybe that will mean good things for this movie if the shark fans check it out. LOL!

  Halle Berry Talks To ‘Vogue’ In Her First Interview In Three Years

  After three years, Halle Berry breaks her silence. The Academy Award winning actress is featured on the coveted September issue of Vogue. Aside from posing for some absolutely stunning photographs, Halle opened up about her split with Gabriel Aubry and the “Oscar Curse”.

  On her three-year silence:

  “I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell. I told my publicist, ‘I’m not going to talk anymore. I’m just going to live my life and be who I am.’”

  On her split with Gabriel Aubry:

  “We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore.”

  And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father.

  Her take on the “Oscar curse”:

  “Everybody talks about the Oscar curse,” she says. “People win Oscars, and then it seems like they fall off the planet. And that’s partly because a huge expectation walks in the room and sits right down on top of your head. The moment I won the Oscar, I felt the teardown the very next day. I thought, If I’m going down, I’m going down taking chances and daring to risk. Hence…Catwoman.”

  On being asked to do the September issue of Vogue:

  “What that means for a woman of color and what that means in the fashion world, what that means to pop culture, there was no way I could say, ‘No I’m not going to be on the biggest issue of the year.’”

  Halle Berry Checks In For ‘Shoe Addicts Anonymous’

  ‘Monster Ball’ star Halle Berry has signed on to lead an ensemble cast for the film adaptation of the bestselling novel ‘Shoe Addicts Anonymous.’

  The comedy looks at the lives of four Chicago women from different ethnic backgrounds, bonded by two things. They are shoe addicts who wear the same size. They form a support group, swap 7.5s and become-wait for it-sole sisters. Eventually their bond goes beyond footwear. Berry will play an agoraphobe who feeds her addiction with online footwear purchases. The film’s her first comedy since Bulworth.

  Then Halle will head to Broadway to star in the play ‘The Mountaintop.’ She will play a maid who delivers a meal to Martin Luther King, Jr. on the night of his assassination.

  So it looks like Halle needs to take it easy this summer because she’ll be plenty busy come fall! In these pictures Halle was spotted hanging out with some friends.

  Halle Berry was spotted using her time to do some charity work. And while she was out doing good, she also decided to wear a t-shirt that draws attention to an important issue — conservation.

  In case you’re curious, the full text on her t-shirt reads,

  “Insulating your water heater can save 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year and moving your thermostat down 2 degrees in the winter and up 2 degrees in the summer can save 500 pounds a year. Compact fluorescent light bulbs save 60% more energy than regular lightbulbs. 50 billion pounds of carbon dioxide would be reduced if every US household switched to energy-saving lightbulbs.”

  There’s still no word on a release date for Halle’s film “Frankie and Alice”, which previewed at Cannes this year. She does have another project listed on IMDB called Dark Tide:

  Halle Barry was seen walking outside of The Jenesse Center in Los Angeles, yesterday afternoon. The actress and chair of ‘The Jenesse Center Year Of Giving Campain’ has been working with the organization in an effort to help raise $2.5 million dollars toward domestic violence prevention.

  Halle has been vocal about her domestic violence experiences in the past. It’s nice to see that she rose above the chaos and is able to give back to women still suffering in the same situation.
