  ‘Cougar Town’ Star Josh Hopkins Dishes On His Dinner With Jennifer Aniston

  Jennifer Aniston has been spotted dining out with several different men this month, keeping the rumor mill buzzing. One lucky dinner date was Josh Hopkins of “Cougar Town”. This weekend Josh dished a little about it.

  “I am a Southern gentleman,” “So I had to [pay for dinner.]”

  He maintains that the dinner was simply a friendly outing:

  “We are just friends,” he insisted to reporters. “I am not dating anyone…I am single.”

  Josh then joked about the rumors of their romantic involvement:

  “there are worse people to be in a rumor with”
  “I have other friends I would rather go to dinner with less!” he said, laughing.

  Jennifer is going to keep everyone guessing about her love life. She really never confirms when she IS dating someone, so every time she’s out to eat with ANYONE, the media automatically assumes it’s a “date date”. I still think Jennifer and Gerard Butler would’ve been a HOT couple.

  What Does Jennifer Aniston See In Harry Morton?

  If the name Harry Morton sounds vaguely familiar to me, it may be because we used to hear his name in connection with Lindsay Lohan: they dated a few years ago (there are some pictures of the two below from 2006). Now Jennifer Aniston is rumored to be dating him, and People claims to have the “inside scoop” on what’s going on.

  “Harry has been to Jen’s Beverly Hills house and they have had several restaurant dates as well,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Just like Jen, Harry is a dog lover and they both love the beach.

  “It still seems to be casual,” says the source, “but Jen has been glowing lately and seems very happy.

  “Jen and Harry used to be neighbors in Malibu,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Jen likes Harry because he is kind and low-key. Even though Harry is very successful and wealthy, he is not flashy and just like Jen, has a circle of close friends that are protective of him.”

  Jennifer does have a past with younger guys (remember John Mayer?), so her dating a 29-year-old doesn’t seem so far fetched. The most important thing is that they’re happy, right?

  Yet there are SO many rumors out there about Jennifer, especially regarding who she’s dating, that I think I’m just going to take a wait-and-see approach to find out if this is true or not.

  Jennifer Aniston Spotted On Another Date- With A Guy She’s Been Linked To Before

  I can’t IMAGINE trying to date as a celebrity. Especially when you get as much attention as Jennifer Aniston. But what is she supposed to do: stay inside her house? ‘The Switch’ star was spotted out with another guy last night, but she’s been linked to him before: Chris Gartin, according to E! News.

  Jen and Chris enjoyed a three-hour dinner at Madeo, where onlookers tell us they very much looked like a couple.

  “They were on a date,” says a fellow diner. “She was all cozied up to him and they were talking closely and laughing.”

  Our source says the two arrived at about 7:30 p.m. and sat at a table secluded from the main dining area. When they left around 10:30 p.m., our source says the two covered themselves with a sheet in their chauffeured car to avoid the snaps of the 15-plus paparazzi waiting outside.

  Chris, if you recall, is the ex-husband of one of Jennifer’s friends. Her friends’ relatives complained to the press (in Australia, where they live) about the relationship.

  Well, eventually I’m sure we’ll know who Jennifer is dating (since she can’t really keep it a secret if things get serious).

  UPDATED: Jennifer Aniston Dating Mystery Younger Man?

  ‘The Switch’ star Jennifer Aniston reportedly was spotted on a date with a mystery younger man. They supposedly had dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood last night.

  A fellow diner who noticed the pair said: “Jennifer was at a cosy corner table with a good looking younger man. She was twirling her hair a lot and flirting shamelessly.

  “Jennifer looked really good. She had on white jeans and a sexy black tank top. When her mystery date left for the restroom, she took the opportunity to primp by reapplying her lipstick.”

  Yet other diners said the actress didn’t seem very confident.

  “She looked a little nervous, putting her hair up in a loose bun and laughing at everything he said.”

  The pair reportedly left separately: he in a Jeep and she slipping out the back door.

  Well, if it is true, then good for Jen! Who isn’t nervous during those first few dates? Hopefully she had a good time

  Report: Angelina Jolie’s Message To Jennifer Aniston: “Leave My Family Alone”

  Let me say, for the record, that I think it’s INSANE we’re still reporting stuff like this, but the story’s out there, so don’t blame the messenger… In Touch Weekly reports that Angelina Jolie is sending Jennifer Aniston the message to stay away from her family through Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane.

  When Angelina went to Budapest to scout out locations for her upcoming film, she reportedly was supposed to leave all six children at home with Brad- and his visiting mother, Jane. But she ended up taking the twins, Knox and Vivienne, and it was to send a message to Jennifer, according to In Touch. Angelina supposedly is upset that Jennifer and Jane have maintained their friendship even after Jennifer and Brad’s divorce.

  “Angie strongly thinks that the past is the past, and Jennifer and Jane should let each other go because their friendship is disrespectful,” the friend explains. “Angie had been complaining to Brad that it’s weird for his mom to talk to his ex-wife, but Brad just brushed it off. So she decided she didn’t want Jane watching over the twins.”

  Hmmm… if this is true, it’s manipulative enough to leave a sour taste in your mouth, isn’t it? The “friend” talking to In Touch says Jane and Jennifer have a very close relationship.

  “Jane still thinks of Jennifer as a daughter,” says a pal. “She knows that Angelina isn’t happy about the friendship, but that doesn’t stop her from keeping Jen in her life.” Jen, in turn, “consults Jane on everything from major purchases to romance to her career.” And Jane confides in Jen, as well.

  Jennifer Aniston Done With Comedy Movies?

  Some sources have Jennifer Aniston returning to doing more television next. Others say she’ll leave behind the entire comedy genre for a while. But the fact that The Switch hasn’t done as well at the box office as expected, has everyone speculating about the actresses’ next career move.

  An insider said about Jen’s comedy films,

  “Jen thinks she’s outgrown these types of movies. They were cute and audiences loved them years ago, but that’s not what they want to see – or, at least, not with Jen.

  “She kind of knew this was coming, but she didn’t expect ‘The Switch’ to do that badly at the box office.”

  Her next step is directing a few films and starring in a couple serious projects.

  “Jen will direct ‘Counter-Clockwise’, a drama about a psychologist who conducts an experiment on reversing the aging process by making her patients believe they are younger.

  “And she’ll co-star and direct ‘Goree Girls’, a drama musical – something she’s never done. That film is based on a true story from the 1940s about a group of incarcerated female country-and-western performers. So really, there are options for her.”

  Is the source right? Would audiences really prefer to see Jen in something outside the comedy genre?

  Jennifer Aniston Will Return To TV

  It’s only for a brief time (and I’m sure it has nothing to do with the disappointing performance of ‘The Switch’ at the box office this past weekend), but Jennifer Aniston will be back on TV to guest star in ‘Cougar Town’ with her real-life friend Courteney Cox, according to Deadline Hollywood.

  Jennifer Aniston is set to guest star alongside Courteney Cox on the Season Two premiere of ABC’s Cougar Town on September 22nd. The two haven’t worked together since Dirt. Aniston bombed in the feature film The Switch over the weekend.

  Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello got some details about Jennifer’s character.

  “She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie,” reveals Lawrence, referring to Cox’s character, Jules. “Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

  I LOVE seeing Jennifer do sitcoms, so I’m doing the happy dance about this. Is this good news to those of you who watch ‘Cougar Town’ or what?

  Jennifer Aniston Under Fire For Using The Word ‘Retard’

  This has been a rough press tour for Jennifer Aniston. The actress is under fire after appearing on ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ this morning to promote her new movie, ‘The Switch’. Jennifer and Regis were discussing the photos where Jennifer pays homage to Barbra Streisand:

  “You’re playing dress up!” Regis told her.
  She replied, “Yes, I play dress up! I do it for a living, like a retard!”

  Jennifer is now feeling the public backlash from several groups, including the Special Olympics, over her use of the word “retard”. Peter Berns, CEO of The Arc (a nonprofit advocate for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities) said it was:
  

  extraordinarily offensive and inappropriate.”

  “Frankly, someone in her position ought to know better,” “She is using language that is offensive to a large segment of the population in this country. We estimate that there are probably in excess of 5 million people in the country with intellectual disabilities, and when you think about all of them, their family members and friends, you’re talking about tens of millions of people who find the use of that term to be really offensive. Every time folks hear that word, it kind of reminds them of all the discrimination and oppression they’ve experienced in their lives. Even if it wasn’t intended to insult them, that is the effect of it.”

  Special Olympics spokeswoman Kristin Seckler had this to say about the interview:

  “Sadly, people use the word pervasively even if they don’t realize it,” “People with intellectual disabilities have fought their whole lives for understanding and recognition. When people continue to use the R word, it’s hurtful.”

  Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, And Liv Tyler Are Possible Credit Card Fraud Victims

  A Beverly Hills salon owner is being accused of ripping off several high profile celebrities by making unauthorized charges to their credit cards. Maria Gabriella Perez, owner of Chez Gabriella Salon, has allegedly racked up $280,000 in charges on her clients’ credit cards over the course of a year.

  “fraudulently [charging] approximately $280,000 worth of charges in a one year period.”

  Among the celeb clients mentioned in the affidavit: Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler, and Melanie Griffith. Liv is reportedly the one who got hit the hardest with over $214,000 charged to her account!

  They’re probably an easy target for fraud because they most likely don’t handle their own bills and why would an accountant question it, right? Hopefully it all gets straightened out quickly.

  Jennifer Aniston Says It’s OK To Be Single

  Not only does Jennifer Aniston think it’s OK for a woman to start a family without a man, she also declares it’s OK for a woman to stay single {gasp}. (Of course I’m kidding about the “gasp” part- lol). Jennifer says she thinks a lot of people settle because they’re afraid of ending up alone.

  “I think it’s about really finding that person that means something and not settling. There are a lot of single people who are as happy as a lark. There are a lot of married people not as thrilled as they would like to be.”

  Jennifer also admitted that part of what drew her to ‘The Switch’ was that she identified with her character (a woman who was ready to start a family although she was not in a relationship).

  “I relate to all women that I know that have gone through this choice, this decision in life. Especially in this case, the women in my life who have gone through the struggles and heartbreak and frustration of fertility and adoption and all of that. I think that’s why it jumped out at me so immediately, the connection I had to it.”

  I think this is a time when everyone has an unprecedented number of life options. That means people are going to live their lives in new, non-traditional ways. What do you think?

  A few days ago Bill O’Reilly called Jennifer Aniston destructive because the actress said women don’t need a man to have a family.

  Today, Jennifer is defending her position.

  “Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth,” Aniston tells PEOPLE exclusively. “And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options.”
