  It’s no secret that Russell Brand was a bit of ladies’ man before finding domestic bliss with fiancee, Katy Perry. The actor recently told Playboy that he once had a team to help him find women,

  When I was at my most promiscuous, I was like a charging locomotive. My selection process was outsourced. I had a team of experts who took care of finding women for me. They had very specific instructions. It was as if I was talking to a wine steward – ‘I’m looking for something French, a bit fruity, smells of oak.’”

  Yet Brand says he does not miss his old ways,

  I’ve reached a point in my life where I understand empirically that this is not the answer. When you sleep with loads of women, it becomes a bit pointless and futile.”

  I wonder if finally finding love was what enabled the star to change his ways?

  Katy Perry announced on Twitter that she and fiancé Russell Brand recently purchased a new cat together. They named their adorable new kitten Krusty. The singer had a cat before she began dating Brand, called Kitty Purry. Brand also had a cat, named Morrissey. Perry wrote,

  Katy Perry Wants Small Wedding, Big Reception

  Katy Perry chatted with People and gave up a few more wedding details. The singer says they’re trying to keep the ceremony small and also shares some details on wedding dresses and locations!

  “I think [the wedding] will be small, I always have a ton of people around me and I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each other’s lives.”

  Even though the ceremony will be intimate, the reception will be a whole other story. Katy says she is planning:

  “a big, fat reception for the people who can’t make it,” Perry says.

  The couple have been talking to John Galliano about her dress because his fashion show was the first time they went public as a couple.

  “So if we did Galliano, it would make it full circle.”

  Katy always imagined that she’d be married in her hometown of Santa Barbara, but she’s leaning toward someplace a little different:

  “We don’t necessarily want it to be a drunk fest of people just, you know, one night and then forgetting about it,” she says. “We want it to be about the love. So sometimes to be about the love, we have to take them out of their comfort zone.”

  I think these two are working hard to keep the location a secret and I don’t blame them one bit!! I’m really anxious to see if Katy goes traditional with her dress or leans more toward her fun, funky style. I’m guessing Russell will wear cowboy boots with his suit.

  Katy was snapped today as she headed to the gym – a girl’s gotta stay fit for that wedding dress.

  Katy Perry Named Maxim’s Hottest Woman For 2010

  Katy Perry has been named the world’s hottest woman according to the annual Maxim Hot 100 list. She narrowly beat Victoria’s Secret model Brooklyn Decker and ‘Avatar’ actress Zoe Saldana who snagged second and third place respectively.

  Why Katy? The men’s magazine said: “She’s the best friend you suddenly realize you’ve loved your whole life. The rad chick who taught you to skateboard and whistle and also looks unbelievable in a bikini.”

  That’s a really nice compliment actually. I’m sure Katy is thrilled with the news.

  Now THIS is a true test of a relationship: driving lessons. Katy Perry reportedly was giving Russell Brand driving lessons. It’s not easy to learn how to drive on the other side of the car and the road!

  Hopefully Russell’s a good driver. Or Katy has a lot of patience. Otherwise, I’ve known a lot of couples who’ve had their fair share of tiffs over driving- LOL. I guess if it gets too bad, Russell can always hire an instructor.

  Katy Perry Using Hypnotherapy To Quit Smoking

  Katy Perry has decided the time has come to give up smoking. The pop star recently admitted that she smokes to relieve the stress over her upcoming nuptials to Russell Brand.

  I’m stressed out with the wedding and I keep smoking to calm my nerves. I do it even though I know it is really bad for me and I know I need to stop. ”

  The singer acknowledges that she is a role model to kids and is not proud of the fact that she smokes.

  So I’m thinking I am going to have hypnotherapy to help me get over it. I’d never say to kids, ‘This is cool’. It’s a really bad habit that I need to quit.”

  I hope that hypnotherapy will help Katy kick her habit once and for all! Has anyone ever used hypnotherapy with any success? I’m curious to try it.

  Report: Katy Perry and Russell Brand Will Marry In Tokyo

  Russell Brand wants to marry Katy Perry in Tokyo. Rumor has it that the couple scrapped their original plans of hosting the ceremony in India and now have their sights set on the Far East.

  “Russell and Katy are marrying at the end of the year, almost a year to the day he proposed.

  “They originally planned to wed in India within the grounds of the Taj Rambagh Palace hotel, where Russell popped the question. The pair have a holding reservation but nothing is set in stone yet.

  “They want to keep people guessing about the ceremony – even their celebrity pals.vWhile he was in Los Angeles, Russell told a couple of people that they were also considering Tokyo as a venue. It’s a buzzy, vibrant city and somewhere completely different and unique. Katy kept jokingly hitting Russell, telling him to keep his big mouth shut.”

  However, Katy is now excited about a Japanese wedding that she has been looking to purchase a Geisha-inspired gown. The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper:

  “She really likes the idea of wearing some kind of Geisha-inspired bridal dress, so Tokyo is a real possibility.”

  “She knows her toned torso is her best feature, so she wants to show it off.

  “She’s also more than aware that her wedding photos will be seen the world over, so she knows her look needs to stand out. From the back, she wants to look like a traditional bride, with a very long train, but from the front, she wants a Vegas-style sequined number with exposed skin.”

  I can see Katy wanting to wear a unique wedding gown. Either way, these two are going to have a lot of fun.

  Russell Brand Not Sure About Book Being Made Into Movie

  Russell Brand says that the screenwriter of his upcoming film “Get Him To The Greek” used many of his own real-life experiences and incidents. The actor says that so much material from his book “My Booky Wook” was used for his character, Aldous Snow, that it might be pointless for it to be made into a film now.

  He jokes:

  “Nick Stoller’s (the screenwriter) sort of stolen all the best bits. If they were to make a movie of my life now, it would be a drab, Warholian, sort of single-shot of me, sobbing in the basin. Which I’m keen to make. So I don’t know if we’ll do that anymore.”

  Are you planning to see the movie? It’s based on Russell’s character from the hit movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”.

  Katy Perry and Russell were snapped out in New York City today. Check out Katy’s Chanel flip flop sandals. Well, they have ankle straps so I guess they aren’t technically flip flops, but how does she keep them on her feet? I’d be walking out of them non-stop!

  Katy Perry Admits She Has Insecurities

  Katy Perry has “moments of insecurity”.

  The ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer – who is engaged to Russell Brand – admits she is often shy and unsure of herself even though she it might seem otherwise.

  “Even the most confident people still have their moments of insecurity. And even though I may come across as loud and bubbly and brimming with confidence, I can be a shy girl too.”

  However, the 25 fights through her insecurities for her fans. She told more! magazine:

  “For me, I wrote a lot of my songs in my hot little apartment and I didn’t think much of them – but then I started playing them in front of people and they were singing the songs back to me louder than I was singing them. It gives you goosebumps on your arms. It might sound cheesy, but I could swear that every artist would say that’s the most validating thing. Everything I do, I know it is for the fans and they are the reason why I exist.”

  Katy – who is currently working a new album, due to be released later this year – recently admitted she was thrilled with how 2010 is panning out for her.

  “Being in the studio again and making this new album is really great, and then to get the Grammy nomination while I was writing it was a really lovely boost of confidence and encouragement and then of course there’s my engagement! So yes, I would say it’s all going pretty well.”

  Looking forward to hearing Katy’s new CD. Hopefully she will be able to top last year’s success.

  Katy Perry and Russell Brand were both spotted with their workout gear today. Earlier in the day Russell was snapped arriving at Katy’s house with his duffel bag, perhaps to use her new equipment? LOL A little while later Katy was spotted out with her personal trainer.

  I’m only joking about the Easter candy. With as much as these two work out, they probably don’t indulge in sugary concoctions too often.

  Russell Brand chatted with friends and showed off his lion head belt buckle at an Easter party in Los Feliz, California. Katy Perry joined several of her friends and wore bunny ears at the backyard BBQ.

  If you celebrate the holiday, did you wear something festive like the singer?

  The party catered to the children by hiring a character to entertain and keep them busy.

  “There was an Easter bunny to entertain the kids and guests were wearing bunny ears,” says a source.

  During the festivity, Katy and Russell showed how very much in love they still are.

  “They kept kissing and were super affectionate,” adds the source.

  And during the bash, Katy had this to say on her Twitter feed:

  First, Russell Brand is supposed to be getting tired of being engaged to Katy Perry. But according to Katy, Russell’s obsessed with bridal magazines.

  [Katy] said: “I’m not that obsessed with plans. But if we stop for breakfast, he has to stop and get ‘Bride’ magazine. It gets a little crazy.”

  That’s just too cute Katy also said she hopes Rihanna plans her bachelorette party.

  Is Rihanna organizing it? I hope she does after all the crazy a*s presents I sent her.

  One thing Katy said she is hoping for on her wedding day is some privacy.

  Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

  If you have kids, then you already know that last night was the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The celebs turned out in full force, working the orange carpet.

  Taylor Lautner was on hand to accept the award for the cutest couple with his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart (she was also nominated with Robert Pattinson . He said:

  “I have to admit, I have always dreamt of winning one of these orange blimps,” said Lautner of the favorite actor award. “Seriously.”

  LOL! Katy Perry got slimed, and she had Miley Cyrus give her a hug before Miley could accept her award for ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie.’

  “Thank God we both wear wigs,” Cyrus joked, before adding, “Thank you, Katy, for not sliming me.”

  Fact Or Fiction: Russell Brand Tiring Of Being In Committed Relationship With Katy Perry

  Oh boy. I guess I can’t say I’m shocked that these stories are starting to come out, but all the same…

  The Daily Mail reports that Russell Brand isn’t sure he wants to stay in a committed relationship with fiancee Katy Perry.

  A source said: “Russell adores Katy, but he’s not sure he’s capable of being tied down.

  “Everyone who knows him isn’t really that surprised. He has a habit of declaring that a girl is “The One” during the first weeks of dating, but it’s just that it’s never been this high profile before.

  “It seems he’s finding this relationship overwhelming.”

  Apparently Russel was spotted having some fun at pre-Oscar parties without Katy.

  “He was spotted pinging the elastic on one girl’s fishnet tights and laughing flirtatiously.

  “While at another event, he was seen hand in hand with a mystery brunette.”

  Now that does NOT sound good. But it’s also what we expected, which may be why it seems so believable when it isn’t.

  Celebrities Attend The 82nd Annual Academy Awards Vanity Fair Party

  While the rest of the country turned off their TVs and headed to bed once the Oscars ended, the celebrities continued to party through the night. Charlize Theron, Taylor Lautner, Kate Beckinsale, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Hilary Swank, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry, and Russell Brand were among the A-listers who attended The 82nd Annual Academy Awards Vanity Fair Party.

  Today Russell Brand was photographed grabbing a taxi ride to the gym. Around the same time, a truck load of home gym equipment was being delivered to Katy Perry’s house.

  Katy Perry Can’t Keep Up With Russell Brand

  Katy Perry is feeling some pressure in the bedroom. It’s no secret that her fiance Russell Brand is… active (to say the least). The singer admitted she’s “bedridden most of the week”.

  “Can you imagine the kind of responsibility I have with his reputation? I’m bedridden most of the week.”

  The 25-year-old star – who has been dating the British funnyman since last September – also believes she has worked out a formula for his good looks, and part of the attraction is he looks like Jesus.

  His look is Jim Morrison meets Charles Manson meets Jesus meets a little bit of Elvis Presley. He’s a walking genius. Just standing next to him makes me smarter.

  “He’s good for me. He’s not a p***k in any way, shape or form. He’s the boss; he calls the shots. I like that. I’ve been waiting for someone I couldn’t steamroll.”

  Russell, 34, proposed to Katy on New Year’s Eve during a holiday to India with a ring featuring two rubies and the inscription ‘The one I’ve been waiting for’.

  “I love it. I’m glad he didn’t go for the ‘every other b***h in Beverly Hills is wearing it as well’ ring.”

  Speaking about the proposal, she added:

  “It involved fireworks, elephants, Indian dancers, horse-drawn carriages and tens of thousands of flower petals.”

  Katy Perry Loves Her “Voluptuous” Body

  Katy Perry likes having a curvy body and says she doesn’t have to work that hard to maintain it. So she doesn’t feel a lot of pressure to stay thin. For now.

  “I don’t feel pressure, no, as I know I’m kind of voluptuous and I’ve always been that way. Saying that, I’m young and metabolism is on my side and my schedule is so crazy that I lose weight from the intensity of it. But if you ask me that question in five or six years and I’ll probably have a different answer for you.”

  Katy’s sister helps her with her eating habits.

  “My sister makes me watch what I eat. She’s a pescatarian, a vegetarian who eats fish, and she’s lost so much weight from being that. She’ll scream at me if some of the crew on my tour get hot pizza for a snack and I want some. Sometimes I can grab a slice, but if my sister sees me, I get a verbal lashing! I eat secretly in the corner – my one pepperoni slice.”
