Spain…on the road Again

I am so excited for this new PBS series, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Mario Batali. Who doesn't love the idea of Gwenyth and the famous chef touring the countryside of Spain? "The two are accompanied by award winning cookbook author and NY Times food writer Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols on a four month road trip through Spain."

"Each episode has the foursome exploring the culture, meeting the people, and stylishly eating through a different region of the country." Sounds like a show worth watching, just to enjoy the culture and the beauty of Spain. Although I'm not too sure how Ms. Paltrow keeps her figure through filming? Check out this from the new show:

Oh, and don't forget to check out the website Spain On the Road Again for more information about the series.

Green Porno on The Sundance Channel

"Green Porno is Isabella Rossellini's highly acclaimed short film series about sex and the mating habits of insects." Check out Isabella's short on the mating habits of worms:

This short film is one of eight films shot be Isabella and others, and many were shown at the Sundance and Tribecca Film Festivals. You can also visit the Sundance Channel to take their Green Porno Quiz, "By answering a number of questions, the quiz lets you figure out what 'Green Porno Star' and what insect your mating habits are most like."

Sounds like high school health class and science class rolled all in to one to me, but it's fun in a weird way too. These short films are an interesting way to teach about insects and reproduction.

Watch them on The Sundance Channel Online.

MTV's Exiled

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/sweet_16/series.jhtml" target="_blank">My Super Sweet 16 Presents: Exiled "Trailer"</a>
Take some of MTV's Sweet 16 "Sweethearts" and Exile them to remote parts of the world, and you've got MTV's new show. It premieres today, and I am oddly excited to watch it. Ever since I heard Anderson Cooper talking about how he watches Sweet 16, it's become kind of a guilty pleasure for me...so I'm even more excited to watch these kids try to make it out in the world. They're swapping tiaras and birthday parties for wilderness, camping, and other cultures. It's sure to be a drama fest as they fight it every step of the way...sounds like entertaining tv to me!

Project Runway Recap

Project Runway Recap

It's that day of the week again, yes it's Project Runway night, and I was happily seated on my couch soaking it all in. Tonight's episode was over the top, where the designers were making costumes for drag queens. The show was funny, and they brought on Chris (...loved him!) from Season 4 and RupPaul too. They pulled out all the stops, let me tell you...

The winning design was the pink jumpsuit by Joe, and while I think it fit his model PERFECTLY to a T, my fave was the rockin' red outfit designed by Korto. Her designs continue to be cool, and she's my current fave. I just loved the detachable balloon-like skirt, and her model seemed to love it too.

Poor Daniel, with his cocktail style, got booted off tonight. I'm sad to see him go. However, the judges probably made the right decision since he really hadn't been designing for the tasks at hand. Which designer had your favorite design tonight? What did you think of tonight's show? Who's your fave?

Let's dish some Runway!!!
