I'll start: I voted a mix of all, but I do not listen to Hip-Hop or rap! But I do listen to all other, thanks to great parents that made sure I was well rounded when it came to music! (My dad is a band and choir director, and my mom was a piano/voice teacher for almost 30 years!) Update: Whoops, somehow my fist vote did not count, so I clicked on electronic, and it counted my vote instead of the one for a mix of things!

What I listen to the most is country, but not by choice. I actually don't like country music. Thats what my husband listens to in his car and that is the car we take when we go somewhere together. I don't generally listen to music. I listen to NPR in my car once in awhile. I just like peace and quiet most of the time. Working retail and having to listen to music almost every day for 15 yrs made music become more of an annoying noise to me than something enjoyable. My husband likes it loud and I like it very low barely audible. I do have some earplugs I wear in his car for long trips. If I have to listen to country music for longer than an hour I want to start ripping my hair out. I really wished I liked music, I used too.

I don't blame you; I'd be ripping my hair out too! I hate, hate, HATE country music. Totally loathe it. I can't stand that twang at all. Anyway, maybe I don't get it as I'm not American, but seriously, that's just some gawd awful music. What I mostly listen to is either New Wave 80s music or electronic/dance. The thing is with electronic music is that it's very disposable. It's 'in' for a few weeks and then gets forgotten. Oh well, it's still fun to work out to!

I listen to whatever my mood dictates. lol However, never rap and hardly ever hiphop, not to mention death metal or punk. And just can't stand music with those twinging bells in it... like fingernails to a chaulkboard for me. lol But mostly, I love mellow type music. Music I can sing with (LOL), and anything by Aerosmith, Jack Johnson and Diana Krall!!

I love it all! I agree with Heidi about her comment regarding whatever the mood dictates! The only stuff I DO NOT like at all is country and scream-o or even some hard core rock stuff. YUCK! I just can't feel the beat with those. Right now I'm really into Usher. I like a lot of bar music, and then I will also listen to Beethoven when in the mood, or some other soft poppy stuff too. LOVE MUSIC! I have to have it when I workout. ALWAYS.

You forgot to add Rock. I don't even know what genre most of the music I like fits into. I had to check iTunes to find out that John Mayer is Rock. LOL! I also listen to Kings of Leon, Teddy Thompson, and Martin Sexton, which according to iTunes is considered Rock, Folk/Country/Rock, and Folk respectively. I also listen to Pop but not as much. I like most electronic music - house, techno, trance etc. Now the best singer (or it's better to say DJ) for me is B Fleishmann. He is from Austria and used to be a drummer, but his works sounds great! Listen to it, you would not regret! Besides, I like classical music and folk ;) Jazz is also great! And rock! A lot of rock!!! my blog
