Bad Meal From Burger King Cleaned Robert Downy Jr. Of Drug Problems

They always say bad press is good press right? After all, it got Burger King into Iron Man, one of the most sought after movies of 2008.

While Robert Downey Jr. was in the middle of his drug and alcohol addiction, he made a pit stop at Burger King. While there, the food was so bad that it caused him to reevaluate his LIFE.

"I have to thank Burger King. It was such a disgusting burger I ordered. I had that, and this big soda, and I thought something really bad was going to happen."

According to Britain’s Empire magazine, Downey Jr. proceeded to throw all his drugs into the ocean, resolving to clean up his act then and there.

UNREAL!

You can even see a hint of that fateful moment in Robert's new movie when his character Tony Stark requests a cheeseburger from Burger King after being released from his captors. Robert requested that scene have a place in the film as a tribute to his own life.

So glad to see he turned it around, he was such a mess, now look at him, hot again. Red hot, white hot even. Maybe there is hope for Amy Winehouse yet. I would say brit and lins, but they are missing the talent part. Ok, that was mean, but Amy dying would be a tragic loss of talent. I hope the other two turn around too, but not the same way.

You know I never used to see the big deal about RDJ when I was younger and now I am completely enamoured with him. I think my tastes are maturing!

I don't think it was BK, drug addicts can't taste food. Their taste for anything good is dead from all the drugs. I think people who are addicts have to want to make a change and then proceed from there. Robert was not ready until he said "I'm ready". I'm glad he is better; imagine if he would've never had that revelation, he would've been dead by now.

I always loved Robert Downey Jr!!!He is so talented that im glad he could after so much struggle and with his wife big support leave drugs behind. Im glad that many people start to know his work rather than his police file, and the Oscar should have been for him!!!

At least it wasn't "Cheeseburger in paradise" song by Jimmy Buffet. Sorry you Buffet fans, that song makes me hurl. Actually, anything by Jimmy Buffet annoys me to no end. Parrot heads strike me as people who have had their intelligence robbed by the Crystal Skull in Indiana Jones latest movie.

Tony Stark didn't actually request a burger from Burger King. He just wanted a burger and what they brought happened to be from Burger King. I only know that because it struck me as odd. Of all the burgers a millionaire would have after being released from captivity, and they bring him Burger King? BK must have paid a pretty penny for product placement.
