I consider myself a good shopper. I can go into a department store and purchase a pocketbook, shirt, jeans, shoes, - you get the point - for the same or less than the price of a similar pocketbook, shirt, jeans or shoes from Target. I often wonder how many people can tell the difference between an item purchased from Target and an item purchased from a higher end department store.

Angelina Jolie was spotted wearing Gerard Darel maxi dresses all summer and now she's steping out in Fall wearing another Gerard Darel maxi dress, this time from his Spring Summer 2009 Collection, not available to us non-celebrities until February 2009. Angelina Jolie is back in the US and wearing one of her favorite French designers, Gerard Darel. Angie was spotted wearing this black frock while strolling around New Orleans on Monday.

After seeing this 100% silk dress in one of their many French boutiques, Angelina ordered versions in purple, royal blue, pale blue, black, chocolate brown and pearl grey.

Part of Gerard Darel’s Spring Summer 2009 collection, this long dress will be available to purchase by late February.
