Every car before this was a convertible, or ttops sports car. It was really hard on the ego going from a SAAB turbo convertible to a minivan, but I did it for the baby. Sigh. My girlfriends all howled with glee cuz I was such a car girl before.
A few weeks ago I had to spend yet another $1,000 on repairs bills for my car. It was a 2001 Nissan Maxima. It was fine for me to tool around in but did get lousy gas mileage for a sedan. It was a great car for the first 8 years. Since April the service engine light has come on about 3 times. Each time I would take it in to the shop and it would be at least $1,000 to fix the problem. This last time a few weeks ago was the last straw. We decided to trade it in and bought a Honda CRV. Amazingly enough it gets much better gas mileage than the sedan.
I've had two compact cars, the last one was a new VW Beetle. The Beetle got great gas mileage but I started having a lot of issues with it once it got over 100,000. I've got a Toyota FJ Cruiser now. I love it. The gas mileage is decent and people don't pull out in front of me like they use to.
I drive my parents' cars since I cannot afford to purchase one just yet! BUT... if I had a million dollars I would be driving a Cadillac Escalade in the ivory colour with the big shiny rims and fully decked out interior. I would die!!!
Love the Lemon Merangue?sp? costume! Did you make that or buy it?
I drive the car my dad got me for my 17th birthday...i have so grown out of my toyota celica but it still runs, absolutely NO problems with it and almost 100k miles...knock on wood! and soo good on gas =) One day, hopefully soon i will treat myself to a luxury sedan, lexus IS maybe =) Dee Marie.
Dang~! I need to change my vote!! whoot hoot! Back to a car today, picking up the ....wait for it....Volvo lol tomorrow. But it ain't a minivan anymore, even if it isn't a convertible, it still kicks it!
