I know I’ve mentioned this a few times on my blog, but I LOVE Carmen Electra. I love the way she looks, her confidence, and her wardrobe. So it was shocking when she first announced her split to Dave Navarro. I really felt for her. Today I visited Us Weekly’s blog and found an interview where she opens up about where she is in her life. She seems happy and busy. Business opportunities have opened up for her and I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of her in the near future.
What is it like being single again?
It’s been fun because I’ve had more time to hang out with my friends. I think sometimes when you’re in relationships you don’t really have the time because you’re working and then your focus is on your boyfriend or your husband. A lot of times we sort of push our friends to the side a little bit, which I think is a natural thing. It’s just nice to reconnect and do fun stuff and have sleepovers, dancing, fun girl stuff.
Is there anyone you have your eye on?
No. I’m not looking. I just want to be alone for awhile. But it’s scary you know? And you feel lonely, you want to grab onto something, but then you’re not really dealing with the experience. You’re just looking for a distraction. I want to feel the experience. I want to feel present.
How do you feel the MTV show Carmen + Dave: Till Death Do Us Part impacted your relationship with Dave?
Dave and I have actually sat down and talked about it because people do ask us that question a lot. And we don’t regret having our show on MTV. We love MTV. It was an experience, and we’ll have that experience forever. We have it documented.
Do you and Dave still talk?
We’re still really good friends. I don’t regret it. You don’t know why you choose to do things sometimes, but it’s all part of the bigger plan and you just kind of go with it. Not everything always works out, but we’re still friends. That’s all that matters. For

An Open Letter From Madonna About The Adoption
Posted on October 17, 2006 at 3:29 PM
“My husband and I began the adoption process many months prior to our trip to Malawi. I did not wish to disclose my intentions to the world prior to the adoption happening as this is a private family matter.
“After learning that there were over one million orphans in Malawi, it was my wish to open up our home and help one child escape an extreme life of hardship, poverty and in many cases death, as well as expand our family.”
“We have gone about the adoption procedure according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child,” Madonna says in her statement. “Reports to the contrary are totally inaccurate. The procedure includes an l8-month evaluation period, after which time we hope to make this adoption permanent. This was not a decision or commitment that my family or I take lightly.”

Leave a CommentMatt Damon visited Africa on a location shoot quest in and around the Sahara Desert. He noticed the lack of water that is available to those who live there. He started H20Africa, an initiative to “raise awareness and support for much needed clean-water programs”. Damon says he “saw firsthand the effects of one of the largest public health issues of our time – the world water crisis which is at its worst in Africa.”
