Sometimes the rumour mill works in the best possible way!  Iron Man 3 star Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed that before she ever met her now husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, rumours were already swirling that she and the rocker were an item.  The good news though is that those rumours are the reason they decided to meet in the first place. Gwyneth explains;

“It’s funny because people had started writing that we were going out and we had never even met.

“And then he was in Los Angeles doing a concert and an actress that he had a crush on was supposed to come to the concert. When she didn’t show up, he was so annoyed that he said, ‘Oh, this is for my girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow.’

“Then people were saying, ‘What’s going on?’ I was like, ‘I’ve never met this guy, I’ve no idea!’

“And because of that, because people were writing about it, we ended up meeting at a concert and there you go. So, thank you!”

“Because they had written so much in the press, his assistant came to my seat at the concert.

“They said, ‘This is so crazy, but will you come back and say hello afterwards?’ And that was it.”

I think that’s awesome that’s how they met!  The couple have been married since 2003 and have two children, Apple and Moses together.

It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian loves Paris. After all, we’ve seen her there with Kanye West numerous times in the past few months, and now it seems that she likes it so much that she’s considering delivering her baby there!

According to TMZ,  Kim and Kanye were spotted stopping by a local hospital to check out the maternity ward should the couple decide that Paris is the place where they want to have their baby.  Reportedly Kim is a fan of Paris’s anti-paparazzi laws which is one of the main reasons why she would consider the city.

I understand Kim’s desire for privacy when she gives birth, but being the star of several reality shows that detail her personal life I have a hard time believing that she will want the birth to be completely private. Maybe she’s just hoping to avoid the paparazzi rush when she goes in to labour?

LOL I love how we now use the word ‘Kanye’d’ to describe anyone who happens to have their awards show acceptance speech interrupted!  Last night, during the MTV Movie Awards, Will Ferrell received the MTV Comedic Genius award that was presented by Peter Dinklage.  After accepting the award Will took to the stage to accept but was interrupted by Parks and Rec star Aubrey Plaza.

Plaza appeared onstage, in bare feet and holding a drink in her hand, and tried to take Ferrell’s award from him! It was rather awkward and Ferrell appeared a little stunned but, because he’s a pro, he rolled with it.  He refused to let Plaza have the award and asked her if she was OK before she returned to her front row seat.

Backstage Ferrell joked about the awkward encounter saying;

“I think she wanted to tell me something important, but there was no message,”

“It was just a lot of hot liquor breath. And, then, and a little bit of sweat. And then she ran away. But the ship sailed on.”

 

Plaza had the name of her upcoming movie, The To Do List, written on her chest and was obviously trying to drum up some publicity for her project.  Mission accomplished!

I have a feeling that the next few months are going to be all about The Great Gatsby (and Leonardo di Caprio, of course!). Actress Carey Mulligan graces the cover of Vogue this month in all-out Gatsby attire and let me tell you, she is looking FAB!

Inside the mag, Carey talks about the film, her role, and of course the fashion! Here’s a snippet:

[Mulligan] doesn’t seem too concerned, having brought with her instead a collection of battered paperbacks and a large sheaf of photocopied letters to F. Scott Fitzgerald from Ginevra King, the sixteen-year-old Chicago debutante with whom Fitzgerald first fell in love and who gave him the outline for so many of the women in his fiction. Princeton University Library copied the entire unpublished set for Mulligan, who devoured them as bedside reading, “soaking up her view of the world, the way she spoke,” she says, turning to one of the letters. “ ‘Yours ’til the little devils in hell go skating.’ I love that. ‘There’s so little to me that I’m not hard to forget quickly. . . .’ That dichotomy between Daisy having that attitude but meaning the exact opposite. . . .”
