Care To Go On A ‘Twilight’ Fan Cruise This Summer?

This August (August 8, 2009, to be exact) a ‘Twilight’ fan cruise will depart from Seattle, Washington for a three-day, four-night cruise to Alaska. ‘Twilight’ cast members Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene will be onboard.

The trip itinerary includes a Q&A session with Lutz and Greene, an
autograph session, costume ball, group photo shoot, charity auction,
contest giveaways and movie viewings."

Could you have imagined the ‘Twilight’ mania would grow like this???

Twilight Actresses Enjoy Lunch In Italy

Actresses in the the ‘Twilight‘ saga, ‘New Moon‘, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Dakota Fanning, enjoyed lunch together in a quaint italian restaurant in Montepulciano, Italy on Monday.
The trio sipped on red wine and took pictures together before heading back to the set.

And just in case you thought Robert Pattinson was the only actor being swarmed by fans, check out this mob all vying forMichael Welch’s autograph! Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

Robert Pattison Celebrates His Birthday

None of that eternal youth stuff for Robert Pattinson: he just turned 23! He reportedly celebrated his birthday with several castmates, including Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Pattinson and his pals were treated to champagne cocktails in the the
V.I.P. section of the restaurant. They ordered rounds of shooters and
feasted on Kobe beef meatballs, lamb, steak, salads and roasted
vegetables.

‘Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal and had a good appetite,’ said a source. "

And then they got more company. Robert’s picture and location were posted on Twitter, which led to "hoards of fans descend[ing] on the restaurant trying to get pictures and autographs."

Robert seemed to be a good sport about the whole thing, however, taking pictures and talking to fans.

Such is the life of a hearthrob Would you go to a local restaurant to meet a celebrity if you found out they were there?

Robert Pattinson Is “A Little Awkward”

Hilarious that Ashley Greene actually said this in an interview, but you can sort of tell what she means from the interviews he does. Rob Pattinson isn’t meant to play the heart-throb because he’s "a little awkward."

Rob’s always like, “I don’t belong here, what’s going on?” He’s not the
most sociable. He’s not one of those people who can go and talk to
anyone. He’s kind of a hermit and a little awkward. He got thrust into
this limelight, but he’s dealing with it. I think it’d be kind of
difficult for anyone.

She also sort of confirms the rumors that Rob was madly in love with Kristen Stewart.

I think he’s loving being single. He’s pretty much one of the most
eligible bachelors out there right now. So if he was sad before [about
Kristen], I think that he’s all right now.

As for Ashley herself, she’s just feeling blessed to be working on such a great movie.

"I knew it had a following, but it’d be pompous to expect that it would do this well. It’s amazing. Every day I wake up and feel so lucky.”

Rumor: New Moon Production Halted Due To Plagiarism Claims

Stephanie Meyer’s former college roommate, Heidi Stanton is suing the Twilight author for allegedly stealing the entire concept of her hit teen novel series from a short story she wrote many moons ago.

Why did it take her so long to realize this?!! Because Heidi just decided to watch the movie last week.

A fan forum posted the following claim:

Allegations by Stanton, who is a stay at home mother to 4 children in Utah arose after she viewed the movie Twilight for the first time last week, shortly after it was released to DVD format. Stanton claims that she had heard about the novels, but with four small children at home has very little time to read for pleasure or go to the theaters to watch movies.

"Quite frankly, I was shocked when I began watching the movie with my husband last week. I immediately told him that she got that idea from me! I wrote a fictional short story with the same ideas when we were in college together." stated Stanton.

Sounds a little fishy. You don’t need to see the movie to know what Twilight is about. It’s a viral obsession that has gotten under the skin of society. Heidi would have gotten wind of the whole "vampire who is in love with a girl" concept prior to the dvd release. Right?

Here’s the issue – professors from Brigham Young University are BACKING Heidi’s short story claim.

Mrs. Stanton’s claims have some credence to them as she has documented proof that a short story with very similar idea was written by her in 1993 while she was a sophomore at BYU. English department chairperson Dr. Peter Benton was at the time a second year professor of writing and distinctly remembers Ms. Stanton’s prolific writing style and the vampire story in particular.

"The story stood out in my mind, at the time, because it was more advanced than most sophomore students usually presented, also the vampire story stood out because I had recently taught a series of lectures on Brahm Stoker’s Dracula." claims Dr. Benton. "I felt at the time that Heidi had brought a very current and up to date look at a classic subject."

And because of this, production has halted until further notice. EEK! A 2009 release is not likely at this point.
