According to people close to Charlie Sheen, he is working hard on his issues to make things better with wife Brooke Mueller.

“Charlie and Brooke already are going through intense marriage counseling and Charlie has been very religious about attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and serious anger management counseling.

“He’s telling everyone that he is going to do everything he can to make it work – and last.”

I REALLY hope this is true because, regardless of what ultimately happens with Charlie’s and Brooke’s marriage, they will always have to co-parent their twin boys.

I also hope Charlie gets the message (and Brooke, too, I guess) that these types of incidents are very serious. Obviously whatever happened between them went far beyond a typical (or even bad) marital argument.

Brooke Mueller And Charlie Sheen Reunite

Now that Charlie Sheen has been formally charged and had the protection order amended, he and Brooke Mueller have reunited. They reportedly returned to Los Angeles together and plan to move back in together.

Brooke’s attorney, Yale Galanter, said she had been “through hell and back” and was pleased with the modification in the restraining order. He explained their plans after court:

I just hope both Charlie and Brooke get the help they need so everyone can stay safe and they can raise their kids in a healthy environment.

Charlie Sheen’s Court Hearing Results

Charlie Sheen was due in an Aspen courtroom today to find out what charges would be filed in the Christmas disturbance that lead to his arrest. Three counts were filed against him: felony menacing and two misdemeanors: 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief. His next court date is March 15.

The judge also agreed to change the protective order so Charlie and his wife, Brooke Mueller, can contact each other, but he’s still not allowed to drink alcohol, harass Brooke or possess firearms.

The DA Plans To File Felony And Misdemeanor Charges Against Charlie Sheen

According to TMZ, the Denver DA is not willing to let the whole Charlie Sheen-Brooke Mueller debacle just go away, even though both Charlie’s and Brooke’s attorneys want him to.

Charlie will be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault when he is arraigned in Aspen on Monday for the Xmas Day brouhaha.

We’re told the D.A. was intractable and the charges will be filed on Monday before Sheen appears in court.

But there may be a big problem in prosecuting the case — as in one Brooke Mueller. Our sources say she wants this case to disappear in the worst way … never a great sole witness on the prosecution side.

As for plea bargaining the case — our sources say it’s possible, if the plea is for a petty misdemeanor, but otherwise he’ll fight it out in court.

This is a difficult type of case. A lot of women in domestic violence situations don’t want to go forward with actually prosecuting their assailants, but they remain in grave danger. It’s a vicious cycle.

Yet if they aren’t willing to cooperate…

Updated: Charlie Sheen’s Car Stolen – And Crashed

Charlie Sheen is just not having a good time of it lately – drama seems to plague him at every turn. This morning he reported his car stolen and the police discovered it at the bottom of a cliff!

According to People, a 911 call reporting the accident came in at the same time Charlie was calling to report the theft of his Mercedes. Apparently it was flipped over in a deep ravine near the actor’s home. Police searched the area, but didn’t find any evidence of anyone having been in the car when it went over the cliff’s edge.

“Charlie was not in the car,” Sheen’s rep Stan Rosenfield tells PEOPLE. “Charlie’s fine.”

Charlie joked:

â€¨”It was nice to have police come to my house and for once I didn’t have to leave with them.”

According to TMZ, Charlie found out the car was missing because OnStar called him to tell him the car had crashed!

Hopefully they find the person responsible – and unharmed. I’m sure Charlie’s glad to know what happened to the car but not so thrilled that it was totaled.

Update: According to TMZ, Charlie lives in a gated community and most of the residents leave their garages open – with keys in the ignition! Yikes! Talk about feeling almost too comfortable! And that’s exactly how the car was last night – in an open garage with the keys right there. Also, it was reported that other cars in the gated community were vandalized.

Charlie Sheen To Be Charged With Felony

According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen will be will be charged with “felony menacing” and misdemeanor assault in connection with his Christmas Day arrest.

The criminal complaint is supposed to be filed either tomorrow or Monday morning. Charlie is supposed to appear in court Monday for an arraignment, though TMZ says he is not expected to enter a plea at that time.

The judge is also set to hear arguments from both Charlie and Brooke about relaxing the protective order.
