Christina Applegate Wants To Be A Hippie, Type-A Mom

Christina Applegate may still be awaiting the birth of her first child, but she already has a sense of what kind of mother she’ll be. She’s going to be both hands-on and hands-off.

“I’ll probably be a little bit hippie and a little bit Type A,” the actress, 38, told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s premiere of Going the Distance in Los Angeles. “I’ll take from what my mother did, which was way hippie and like ‘Do what you wanna do,’ and bring some things that I know from watching my friends raise their kids. An amalgamation of sorts.”

That’ll be a great- but tough- combination to pull off

Christina also admits that while she hasn’t been craving any specific foods, she has been craving food. Like, ALL food.

“Just keep going with it in my mouth,” she says.

Yep, I remember those days- LOL. There’s a lot going on when you’re pregnant. For Christina, one of those things she’s working on is designing a nursery.

“It’s gender neutral because we don’t know [if it's a boy or girl],” she says. “I’m trying. It’s becoming a bigger project than it was supposed to be, unfortunately.”

My advice? Make it something the baby can grow into- that baby phase is over before you know it!

LOL – Here’s Christina Applegate leaving the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live Show’ last night with husband Martyn LeNoble. While speaking with the host, the actress admitted she is having a textbook pregnancy.

“I’m like everything that you read in the books — I’ve got it all. The cravings. The morning sickness I had for a really long time. The psychosis. If anyone’s been pregnant you know exactly what I’m talking about. You kinda go a little cuckoo. Yelling for no reason. It’s almost out of body.

It IS almost out of body. I think she looks absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to see those first photos, but we have some time to wait.

Christina Applegate is playing coy on how many months pregnant she is (“somewhere between zero and 10 months” along) but she wasn’t shy about showing off the bump yesterday at the premiere of Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.

Christina said that while pregnant she’s wearing lots of heels because,

“It offsets the impending growth of width.”

James Marsden, Chris O’Donnell and Omarosa were also in attendance.

Christina Applegate Is Expecting A Baby

Former ‘Samantha Who?’ star Christina Applegate had a rough period there, between her breast cancer diagnosis and double mastectomy, but things are going well for the actress now! She became engaged to boyfriend Martyn Lenoble on Valentine’s Day, and now Christina’s rep confirms to People that the actress is pregnant.

Christina said Martyn was a great support to her throughout her health problems.

“I’m very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he’s been my rock through all of this,” Applegate told PEOPLE last year. “He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about.”

This will be Christina’s first child. Congratulations!

Christina Applegate Is Engaged

Christina Applegate announced today that she is engaged! She’s been dating musician Martyn LeNoble for about two years and he popped the question on Valentine’s Day.

“The couple, who have been dating for two years, got engaged on February 14, 2010,” a rep for the actress, who is currently filming Hall Pass, confirms to Us in a statement. “There is no set date for the wedding at this time.”

This will be the second marriage for both of them.

She did a good job of keeping it a secret! 2 months is a long time to keep something under wraps in Hollywood!

Congrats to the happy couple!!
