Janet Jackson Calls Jermaine Dupri Her “Ex” I’m guessing one of the problems in Janet Jackson’s and Jermaine Dupri’s relationship was communication? While people close to Jermaine say the couple never split, Janet said otherwise in an Atlanta radio interview this morning. Janet told the interviewer she typically doesn’t stay in contact with ex-boyfriends, but there are some exceptions.
“I’m not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that,” Jackson said.
Dupri, however, seems to be an exception. “Jermaine is one of my best friends,” she said in a sleepy voice. “I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.”
According to Us Weekly, Janet and Jermaine “took a break” after they disagreed about her music career. (Huh? Okay…) Apparently they reunited for Jermaine’s birthday party last September, but it sounds like the couple still has significant issues.
“There is a still a lot of love there,” a pal close to the pal recently told Us Weekly.
“We’re there for one another,” Jackson said of Dupri. “I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life.”
Well, sometimes it works this way for couples. They were together for eight years.

Janet Jackson Makes Special Appereance At The Grove Someone from ONTD filmed a crowd performance at the Grove while Janet Jackson was making a special appearance. WHAT FUN!! Imagine watching hundreds of people dancing to your moves in public like this? She really is such an icon.
I’m happy that Janet is able to continue working and getting back to normal after the loss of her brother, Michael. It still must be so hard for this family.

Janet Jackson And Jermain Dupri Are Still Together This is according to People, at least. The two were rumored to have split around the time of Michael Jackson’s untimely death, fueled in part by Janet Jackson telling Harper’s Bazaar she was “single” and Jermaine Dupri’s apparent absence last summer.
“They never really broke up,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died.”
That sounds rather odd, but everyone grieves differently. Although Janet and Jermaine may still be dating, don’t take it too far and assume a wedding is in the works.
“They’ve been saying that for years and you don’t see a ring on my finger,” [Jermaine] told PEOPLE on Friday at a Prive Las Vegas party to launch his Nu Pop Movement watch line. “I guess it just sounds good to have that rumor this time of the year or something.”
Maybe they just hit a rough patch? Either way, I’m glad to see this long-term couple back together!

Madonna To Duet With Janet Jackson Madonna is to duet with Janet Jackson. The two singers are working on a tribute to Janet’s late brother Michael Jackson after bonding over dinner after Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), which saw the ‘Together Again’ star perform ‘Scream’, a track originally recorded with her sibling, and Madonna make a tearful speech about her regret at “abandoning” the pop icon before his death.
“It was a meeting of two great musical minds. Madonna was so impressed with Janet’s tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honor him by doing something together.
“With that one performance Janet proved she’s back on top of her game. And who better to join forces with than Madonna? There was definitely something very interesting being planned between them.”
Speaking at the awards ceremony, which was held in New York, Madonna admitted she was only attending the bash to pay her respects to Michael.
She told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper:
“Now I’ve finally had chance to say farewell to my dear friend. I can now say I have paid my respects to Michael. That’s why I’m here. To say goodbye. And Janet’s performance was amazing – just the perfect tribute to her brother.”
Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary recently revealed that the ’4 Minutes’ singer had hoped to join Michael on stage during his ‘This Is It’ London residency.
He wrote on Twitter:
“A month ago, Madonna told me she wanted to do a surprise performance at one of Michael Jackson’s UK shows.”

Janet Jackson Talks About Losing Michael In her first interview since Michael Jackson’s death, Janet Jackson sat down with Harper’s Bazaar. As you can imagine, it’s been a difficult couple of months for the singer. One thing she has not done is watched the news. At all.
“It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks.”
Janet said there are parts of Michael’s memorial service she doesn’t remember, but one moment in Michael’s service stood out to her: when his daughter, Paris, spoke.
“I was really proud,” Janet recalls. “People said to me that Michael’s daughter speaking really gave them a sense of how he was as a father, in her words. Paris is incredibly smart; they are all so smart. She’s a sweet girl. The kids are doing well. They’re with all their cousins; that family love will keep them going.”
