  JJ Abrams And Leonard Nimoy Talk ‘Star Trek’ And ‘Fringe’

  JJ Abrams and Leonard Nimoy talked to TV Guide about working on both ‘Star Trek’ (can you wait until it comes out at midnight tonight?!) and ‘Fringe.’JJ isn’t sure if he’ll do another ‘Star Trek’ film, but he is sure you should go see this one, even if you haven’t been a fan in the past!

  This is not the Trek you thought you knew!

  [T]he universe Mr. Roddenberry created is all about us. Not only is his vision still relevant, I would argue that it’s more relevant now than ever."

  If you’ve been following the buzz at all, you know the heroic Captain Kirk isn’t so, well, heroic in this film (he’s described as "a brash, rebellious, chauvinistic jerk").

  This film doesn’t assume you care about Kirk, like the early Trek films
  did. We give you the guy who will eventually end up in that captain’s
  chair and show you why you should care."

  And a Spock who is (gasp!) emotional?!
