Johnny Depp Starts Work On ‘The Tourist’ And Talks ’21 Jump Street’ Johnny Depp must’ve finished up his promotional duties for ‘Alice In Wonderland’ last week. He was snapped on the set of ‘The Tourist’ today. Johnny said in an interview that he’d be interested in doing a cameo on the rumored ’21 Jump Street’ movie!
“I’m hoping they’ll let me do a cameo,” Depp said with a laugh. “Someone will say, ‘Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?’ and they’ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants.”
LOL! I’d go see the movie if he was in it. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jonah Hill is heavily involved in this remake:
The Jump Street movie is in development at Sony Pictures, with Jonah Hill on board to write, executive produce, and potentially star.
What do you think about Jonah Hill being involved? I wonder if they’ll take it in more of comedy direction?
More importantly, what do you think of Johnny’s hair in these shots? It looks so soft and wavy. Sigh. LOL

‘Alice In Wonderland’ Has A Rainy UK Premiere Despite the rainy weather, everyone’s spirits seemed high at the UK premiere of ‘Alice In Wonderland’. Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Avril Lavigne, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska, Paloma Faith and Tim Burton were snapped heading down the rain-drenched green carpet at the Odeon.
Johnny said that his kids gave the movie their seal of approval. He’ll have to take their word for it since he never watches any of his own movies. He joked a few days ago that he’d be off in a broom closet waiting for it to end.
“My kids actually saw the film because I send them out there in the frontlines,” the actor told reporters Thursday at a press conference at London’s Dorchester Hotel. “They saw it – and they loved it.”
“They absolutely adored it, ” Depp said. “They loved every character. They weren’t freaked out by it whatsoever.”
Are you excited to finally see it? One more week to go!

Johnny Depp Dishes On Working With Vanessa Paradis And Angelina Jolie Johnny Depp and his partner Vanessa Paradis are finally going to do some work together on the big screen. The couple is set to appear in the new movie ‘My American Lover’.
Johnny said:
“It’s in preparation. It’s called ‘My American Lover’. Vanessa plays the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren who is real macho.”
Simone de Beauvoir was a 20th century French writer and philosopher. She traveled through Latin America with Algren in 1949.
Johnny is currently shooting ‘The Tourist’ with Angelina Jolie and admits he is “impressed” by her.
He said of Angelina:
“She’s a nice woman. What she does she takes very seriously. I was really impressed by her and I’m thrilled to be working with her.”
Johnny is also excited about the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film.
“I love Captain Jack. In the earlier films there were so many subplots that the audience, and even I, was sometimes confused. The next part is fun, a lot of fun.”
Well, all three sound great because they have that one golden thing in common: Johnny Depp. I think it’ll be great to see him & Vanessa in a film together. I’m sure they’ll enjoying being able to see one another every day during shooting.

Johnny Depp’s Trick For Getting More Attention For the most party, Johnny Depp is one of the Hollywood stars who shuns publicity. However, he knows what to do if he wants it: hang out with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
“[If] I feel I’m not getting photographed by the paparazzi enough, I figure I’ll go and hang out in Venice with Brad and Angelina,” he mused.
“We have a great place in the South of France. It’s a little hamlet – only about 45 acres – and I don’t do anything. I’ve not left the property for three months at a time. I literally just wake up, go out, check the garden and see the vegetables growing. It’s a pristine existence in terms of simplicity.
“There’s no talk of movies or work and, infinitely more important, the telephone never rings. It really is a beautiful, simple life.”
He certainly does seem to have figured out how to avoid the limelight. Have you ever seen a picture of his children?
Well, Johnny will have plenty of time to get photographed once he starts shooting ‘The Tourist’ with Angelina. I Can’t Wait to see them on-screen together!

Johnny Depp Says His Career “Defies Logic” Johnny Depp says his career is similar to the experience of going to Wonderland because his success has been a “surreal, logic-defying experience.”
“The whole ride – my whole ride and experience on the ride – since day one has been pretty surreal in this business,” Depp, told reporters…
“It defies logic, why I’m still here. I’m still completely shocked that I still get jobs and still am around. But I guess more than anything it has been a kind of Wonderland. I’ve been very lucky.
“I had no idea where anything was going, but you can’t,” he continued. “It’s almost impossible to predict anything like that. I had no idea. I had hoped … I felt like after I’d done Cry-Baby with John Waters and Edward Scissorhands with Tim that they were going to cut me off right then.”
Really? I never would’ve thought that
Johnny also told reporters his kids’ favorite movie of his is actually ‘Edward Scissorhands,’ although he’s said it’s hard for his kids because the character is lonely and tragic, and they can see that it’s their father.
It must be confusing for kids of actors to see their parents play characters. You’d have to make sure they could tell the difference between what’s pretend and what’s reality.
Are you surprised by Johnny’s success?
