  Katie Holmes And Suri Have A Play Date In Toronto

  Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise (4) spent a rainy day in Toronto on a play date. Katie took Suri to Toronto Island and Centreville Amusement Park with another couple and their children. I’m dying over some of Suri’s facial expressions!

  Katie is still in Canada shooting the TV series “The Kennedys” with Greg Kinnear.

  We haven’t seen too many photos of Tom making visits to the set like he did when she was working on ‘The Romantics’. I wonder if he’s busy filming a movie, too?

  Katie Holmes’ Interview With NY Magazine

  Collection time!! Katie Holmes opened up to NY Magazine about her passion for fashion and upcoming collection with Jeanne Yang. I’m VERY curious to see how this sells. It’s OBVIOUS people are watching Katie and trying to replicate her style. But will the price point turn most of the general public away?

  Here’s a few excerpts from her interview:

  You put your collection together with your stylist, Jeanne Yang. How did you get into designing?
  I started making clothes for Suri when she was born, designing dresses, and then having seamstresses sew them, because I don’t sew very well. As a child, I was always drawing clothes, and I’ve always loved fabrics, and when Suri was born, I wanted to have certain things be from me and created just by me for her. And so that kind of got me into it, and then one day, Jeanne and I were getting ready for something and we thought, men have such beautiful tailored shirts, they have such a uniform, and we thought it would be nice to make things that are simple that you can have forever.

  Were you always into fashion?
  I always loved clothes growing up. My mother had a drapery business. And now, part of being in this business is that you’re around really nice clothes. You do these photo shoots, you get exposed to Hermès and Chloé and Armani, and you start to feel the difference.

  Is Suri into clothes, too?
  I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, “I want this sleeve cut,” and it’s like, “Okay, we’ll cut it.” She picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was 1½. Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, “Okay, I trust you.”

  First Look: Katie Holmes And Anna Paquin In ‘The Romantics’

  I was excited when I saw pictures of Anna Paquin and Katie Holmes filming ‘The Romantics’ together last year and I’m even more excited now that I’ve seen the trailer. While I much rather spend my money on an action / thriller, this romantic drama looks pretty good.

  Some big names are attached besides those two leading ladies. Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Candice Bergen and Elijah Wood to name a few.

  I’ve been WAITING for this movie to come out because I am DYING to see how Katie Holmes does in a horror film. Unfortunately, this teaser trailer doesn’t give us much to work with.

  BUT I WILL SAY THIS – if you get creeped out easily, don’t watch it. There is a bit of a scare somewhere towards the end.

  Suri Cruise Visits Katie Holmes On Set

  Suri Cruise ran around, played with some friends and colored ‘Hello Kitty’ pictures while her mother Katie Holmes was busy at work filming scenes alongside Greg Kinnear on the set of her new film, ‘The Kennedy’s’ yesterday afternoon. The group is currently stationed at Marie Curtis Park in Toronto, Canada.

  I am just LOVING these outfits. What a trip it must be to play this character for Katie. Wonder if she will be influenced at all by the fashion?

  Katie Holmes Is “Inspired” By Her Family

  Katie Holmes says she is “inspired” by her family. Suri and Tom Cruise help her feel creative while at home and when working on a film. She told ‘Ok! Magazine’:

  “Every day my husband inspires me. My family inspires me. My daughter inspires. We’re always sort of creating new things whether it’s a party, or a script or a movie. We try to be a very creative household.”

  What a wonderful thing to say.

  Katie also thinks that Suri is bound to be an actress.

  “I know that she can do whatever she wants and she’ll be great at it.”

  Suri certainly likes to play dress up… and having Tom Cruise as a dad can’t hurt her chances in the industry. Wonder if she will be the next Jaden Smith!
