  Cameron Diaz And Justin Bieber Helping Larry King With Oil Spill Telethon

  On Monday Larry King Live will be a special 2-hour telethon to raise money to help the victims of the oil spill in the Gulf. Cameron Diaz and Justin Bieber are just two of the “headlining” celebrities set to help. Sting will be performing and Ryan Seacrest will be interacting with the “social media” participants through Twitter and Facebook.

  A few of the other celebrities scheduled to help with the cause: Jenny McCarthy, Ted Danson, Lenny Kravitz, Alyssa Milano, Ian Somerhalder, Pete Wentz.

  The money raised will benefit the United Way, the National Wildlife Federation and the Nature Conservancy, and other relief organizations.

  I’m sure Ian Somerhalder is pretty happy that Hollywood is stepping up to help out after he “called them out” last week for not rushing to help with the crisis. Hopefully this will be the beginning of many more events to come.

  The 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards

  Last night the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards were held, and ‘Precious’ was the big winner, which won for best feature, best director (Lee Daniels), best screenplay (Geoffrey Fletcher), best female lead (Gabourey Sidibe), and best supporting female (Mo’Nique). Congratulations!

  I’m glad ‘Precious’ got recognized here; something tells me it may not do so well Sunday night at the Academy Awards.

  Unreleased Michael Jackson Track: ‘Another Day’

  Michael Jackson and Lenny Kravitz? That’s a pairing I wouldn’t have guessed at! Yet here’s the track: ‘Another Day.’

  According to TMZ, Lenny gave an interview soon after Michael’s death and mentioned the two had made a song together that was unreleased. Lenny reportedly described his experience recording with Michael “the most amazing experience I’ve had in the studio.”

  What do you think of the song? I have to wonder how much more unreleased music exists. I bet there are a lot of songs out there.
