Queen Latifah Talks About Her Health And Future Adoption Plans Queen Latifah is set to co-host the BET Network’s telethon “SOS Saving Ourselves – Help for Haiti”. She’ll be sharing hosting duties with Diddy and Pharrell this Friday night. The money raised will benefit charities like Yele Haiti, but she says that on a personal level, she wants to help build orphanages and possibly adopt!
“I would love to, but it’s going to take some time because things are in a bit of disarray down there. That is definitely something I would try to do. There are a lot of kids who are in need of a good home now, and I definitely think I can provide that.”
How exciting for her, I hope things work out!
She also talked about her health and how she maintains her weight loss.
“I don’t really diet. I kind of keep everything in moderation, exercise and eat right. I eat a lot of vegetables and lean meats, and I drink a whole lot of water,”
She reveals her weakness:
“Mac and cheese…I gotta have it!”
Her thoughts on turning 40:
“To me as long as you’re young at heart, it really doesn’t matter how old you are, To me, age is really how you feel on the inside.”
I couldn’t agree more!
The telethon will air Friday night at 8pm EST on BET, MTV, VH1 and a few other channels.

Queen Latifah Addresses Rumors, Opens Up About Her Past Queen Latifah sat down with Essence magazine recently and addressed a number of issues, including rumors about her sexual orientation and a traumatic past. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to tell you everything.
‘My personal life is personal and it’s really
not for everyone else,’ she told the mag. ‘With what I do for a living,
I have to share a lot of myself with a lot of people, but I’m not going
to share everything.’ "Regarding her sexual orientation, Queen Latifah says:
‘They want to make up stories and make me gay
all the time and it’s like, ‘Keep running with it,’ she said. ‘I’ve
definitely been annoyed by it, but I learned a long time ago that it
was pointless to say anything. Everybody else can do the reading; I’ll
do the living.’ "But there is one thing she is willing to open up about: she was sexually abused as a child.

The BET Honors Second Annual Black Entertainment Awards The BET Honors Second Annual Black Entertainment Awards were held in Washington DC over the weekend. Fan favorites like Ne Yo, Queen Latifah, Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, Monica, Star Jones, and my personal favorite Mary J Blige were in attendance.
While growing up, did you have an artist that you totally related to? Like everything they wrote make sense to you? That was Mary for me. I knew her first few albums front and back!
And for all Ne Yo fans out there, I have some personal information about him. My old high school friend who I recently just reconnected with works for Def Jam. She’s the girl that travels with the artists and makes sure they keep on their schedules and are "happy" at all times. Ne Yo is one of her responsibilities and she says he is the nicest person. Totally unaffected, doesn’t abuse staff, truly grateful and a great person to be around… even after a 15 hour flight.I thought that was nice to hear considering I LOVE him. Just wanted to pass the word around.

Queen Latifah Victim Of Theft Queen Latifah is currently vacationing in Tobago (which is in the Caribbean).She was enjoying the comforts of a luxury villa in the $1,000-a-night Stone Haven Resort, but her vacation has been dampened with the theft of $10,000 worth of "sentimental" jewelry.
‘Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to
have the jewelry returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said the
larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the
clock to make a breakthrough,’ acting police commissioner James
Philbert told the [media]."I can see luxury resorts being targeted by thieves, but you rarely hear about workers actually committing the crimes (although it makes sense, sadly).
Queen Latifah reportedly may offer a reward for the return of her jewelry before she leaves the resort next Wednesday.I have a feeling she’ll have to offer a reward after that report.
Hotels always offer safes but I NEVER use them. Stories like these make me think twice about that decision. Have any of you been the victim of theft while on vacation?
