Am I the only one that didn't know this? I understand the song is old, but I just had to post this. I mean, JOEY from Full House?! Going down in a theatre? Are you thinking of me when you ... ?

JOEY?!

Yes, I've been under a rock. But for those of you who have comfortably been sharing the space with me: Alanis Morissette wrote 'You Oughta Know' about David Coulier from Full House. Read the lyrics with this new information and see it in a whole new light.

Here he is talking about figuring it all out himself.

"(When I first heard the song) I said, ‘Wow, this girl is angry,’And then I said, ‘Oh man, I think it’s Alanis.’ I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, ‘I think I have really hurt this person.’"

"We saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, ‘We’re good.’"

Alanis Morissette In Women's Health

Alanis Morissette makes an appearance in Women's Health Magazine this month and gives a pretty interesting interview. The publication calls her the "patron saint of **** off women everywhere." LOVE IT! Who hasn't sang along to Ironic at one point or another and really thought about those lyrics???

When asked about the Britneys and Mileys of this world:

"I think it's child abuse to have someone in the public eye too young. Society basically values wealth and fame and power at the cost of well-being. In the case of a child, it's at the cost of someone's natural development. It's already hard enough to develop."

If she were president:

"Meditate and encourage people to stop blaming others, to be more responsible for their own well-being."

On body image (after battling eating disorders and self-image issues as a teen):

"I notice new things about my body every month. I'm fascinated by aging and how a woman's body changes. I don't want to spend the next 50 years of my life trying to hide those changes. There's something very relaxing about watching it unfold instead of fighting it the whole way."

On lifetime goals:

"I want to go to Laos and do a show in Russia and get married and have kids. Maybe even adopt a kid. I'd like to live somewhere in the middle of nowhere for a while—maybe in a forest or on an ocean bluff."

Do you agree with Alanis that putting a child in the limelight could be considered abuse? Those are strong words.

Alanis Morissette Likes To Keep Things Room Temperature

Alanis Morisette has an unusual fear... a fear of air conditioners. The singer thinks that they are the cause of illness and has experienced getting sick from them in the past to prove it.

"I refuse to go into rooms with air conditioning. People think I’m some sort of diva because I won’t even put a foot into a place if the air con is on. It’s not about being a diva - it’s about my health. Within a matter of minutes of being exposed to air conditioning, my body goes into meltdown, and within three hours I’ll contract laryngitis and won’t be able to speak, let alone sing."

What does she do in the summer? You can't do anything then... shopping, movies, dining, doctor visits. Air conditioning is a part of our day to day lives. This is crazy!

Alanis Morissette Won't Be That Guy Anymore

I have spent most of my life behaving like a man. I had money, power and I wanted to control everything. I would be the one slamming down my credit card at the end of a meal and opening the door so the man didn’t have to. It’s just not attractive. It’s not how a woman should behave.

I am getting back in touch with my feminine side. I dress to show off my curves rather than hide them with boy clothes, I let men help me down steps and I sit back and wait for the man to pay for dinner. I may have more money, but I don’t need to prove it by being in control all the time. It’s nice. It makes me feel sexier and more feminine.

Alanis Morissette Has Awkward Moment With Clergymen

Alanis Morissette had just met the Pope on stage. As she exited the stage she didn't know whether she was supposed to walk in front of or go behind the cardinals who were waiting there.

She explains, "I'm post-Catholic; I don't know how it works anymore, so there was this awkward moment and I walked in front of them. They were all French and they were speaking about me behind me, saying how rude and horrible I was.

I speak French, so I bit my tongue the whole way out and they were just ripping me apart, and then right at the tail end... I just turned back and spoke to them in French and said, 'Thank you so much for your kindness.'"

Wow, so even clergymen talk bad about people behind their backs. Iguess gossip is universal, no matter what your status in life. :P

Alanis Morissette Is Happy For Ryan Reynolds

What else is she supposed to say? Alanis Morissette gave the correct answer when asked how she feels about Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson's engagement. And who would ASK that? Alanis and Ryan were together for 4 years and they never made it down the aisle. UGH!

"On a certain spiritual level, I feel like everyone’s where they need to be."

But lesson learned. Alanis says that she will never put it out there for the public's consumption again.

"Public romance . I’m going to be avoiding that in the future . I think the only time I’ll talk about any guy I’m with will be when I’m married with six kids."

Alanis Morissette Admits To Eating Disorder

Thank goodness I am not in a business where people are TELLING me to lose weight. I mean, CAN YOU IMAGINE?! That is way too much for anyone to handle. Alanis Morissette recently admitted that she struggled with an eating disorder because a record executive once told her she was getting too fat.

"(He) suggested I was getting too fat, saying, ‘You need to go on a diet.’ My response was, ‘But I’m a singer.’ He said, ‘Yes, well, you need to get small again.’ That started a whole cycle. Two days later I was sticking fingers down my throat."

Thankfully, Alanis has grown out of that terrible stage and is a much healthier person because of it.

It could just be that they ran into one another and decided to go for a walk (at least that is what I keep on telling myself). Technically, no reps have confirmed anything. But a picture speaks a thousand words right? In other news, she looks amazing in that bikini!
