Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds quietly married in Canada among a very small group of family and friends. In August, Scarlett gave the press a quote about wanting to take her time with the engagement. I guess that lie was to throw the world off on their bigger plan.
"We're just enjoying our time. We're just recently - very recently - engaged. So, you know, we're just taking it easy. And no big plan yet. But it's a good time, and we're just... enjoying our time to be young and engaged. I mean, I'm 23. There's no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed."Congrats to the happy couple!!

We keep hearing more and more diva stories about Scarlett Johansson. It looks like Hollywood really has gotten to her. This past weekend she was in NYC when a doorman asked for a photo, but she wasn't having any of that!
The actress and fiancé Ryan Reynolds hit the Lower East Side spot National Underground the other night "wearing matching bowler hats," our spy said. Even though Johansson was "dressed down in a black blazer and jeans," the doorman recognized her. Our spy said that "the doorman asked to take a photo with Scarlett" but that she snapped, "I'm not the Statue of Liberty," before heading inside.
While I understand her wanting privacy on vacation and I get that celebs can't always say yes to a photo, there are definitely nicer ways to turn a guy down.

It's not like we missed her on the blogs as Scarlett Johansson is rarely seen these days. So who would have known that the actress just returned this week from her first trip to Rwanda with (RED), the initiative to engage business and consumer power in the fight against AIDS in Africa. During her four day stay, the actress visited projects and people who benefit from the flow of (RED) funds via the Global Fund into Rwanda to help tackle the AIDS and HIV pandemic there.
Now, that is something to be proud of.
“It was important for me to come here and understand the issue we’re up against firsthand. It’s not until you’ve had the privilege of meeting healthcare providers who are fighting the daily battle, heard from people who are now getting antiretroviral drugs to stay alive, and met mothers whose babies are born healthy because they received treatment that stopped transmission of HIV, that you understand that we absolutely can do something to reverse the AIDS crisis in African countries.”“I came here with an open mind, wanting to listen, understand and learn; I leave with the overwhelming understanding that the small action of making a (RED) choice in your purchases in the West has an enormous impact on the lives of people in countries like Rwanda”

According to the NY Post, Scarlett Johansson isn't the sweet and grateful star that she used to be ever since becoming Woody Allen's muse. In fact, on her most recent movie set, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, sources say that Scarlett was an absolute nightmare.
"Scarlett isn't the same . . . She's turned into the biggest prima donna." The source added that the same producers raved about working with her on "Match Point," when "everyone said she was a sweetheart . . . now they say, 'Scarlett's let it get to her head.' "
A rep for Johansson told Page Six, "Scarlett loves the movie and enjoyed working with everyone on it."
What do you think? Isn't it par for the course in Hollywood to buy into it all? There are so few celebrities who remain grounded.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have decided to postpone their wedding until after the Presidential election is over. Turns out that Scarlett's brother Hunter is busy at work on Barack Obama's campaign. She doesn't want to take him away from his responsibilities.
"He is working all the time so Scarlett wants to hold off until the election is over."
The election is due to take place in November.

Well, obviously that's since changed, but back in the day Woody Allen had absolutely no clue who Scarlett Johansson was. Now she's his muse, but it all started by accident.
Woody said,
"Yeah, Scarlett was an accident," he says. He had hired Kate Winslet for Match Point but she dropped out at the last minute. "I didn't know Scarlett from a hole in the wall," Allen admits. But he was in a bind. "I hired her and became totally captivated by her," says Allen.
Now, like with past muses before her, Woody uses Scarlett for every movie he can.
"Whenever there is a part that fits, I would always call her (Scarlett), as I did with Keaton for years," he says. "I did that with Mia [Farrow]. And she never let me down. I think the same would be true with Scarlett."
Can you imagine if Kate Winslet had taken the role in Match Point...then we'd probably have Kate in Lost in Translation and everything else Scarlett has done in the past couple of years.

I can guarantee that Scarlett Johansson is going to flip her lip when she sees this website and the way they are angling her. I mean, what is that lipstick mark all about?!
In order to promote her new movie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, her team has put up the following site asking readers to enter to win a chance at a "threesome" with Scarlett.

"Women kind of wilt as men achieve as they get older, like wine. It’s like, ‘Oh she’s past her prime and can’t play a sex symbol’. "It’s just a preconceived notion about women in general and particularly in this industry. It’s a very, very vain industry."
"My hair and make-up artists spend hours upon hours plastering things on me to make me look sexier. I think it’s rare that you feel beautiful."
-- Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson would rather kiss Penelope Cruz any day over other leading male actors. She prefers the non-scratchy feel.
"Everybody wants to know what it was like. Penelope had less facial hair than a guy so it was certainly more pleasant. It was better than kissing Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. Kissing him wasn't that bad, but he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene even though he'd shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him."
Haha, I would hope that Penelope had less facial hair! Poor Jonathan shouldn't take that to heart. :P
